Chapter 12: Jonas’ Confession
Yue’s POV I stared at Jonas. “So we’re not mates?” He told me that we weren’t mates when I was leaving the dining hall with Josie by my side. In the corner of my eye, I watched Kaspen grab Josie and walk back to Maya and a few other pack members who hadn’t left the dining hall yet. “No, sorry for lying,” Jonas apologized as he scratched the top of his head. “I just got caught up in the excitement since Nick and Kaspen were saying you were their mates.” Excitement was a weird way to put it. “Kaspen is your mate. I’m really sorry,” he apologized again, pressing his hands together for forgiveness. “I realized that I might have been manipulating you with that lie. I do have respect for you as my Luna.” The right words couldn’t fill my mouth so I let out the first sentence I could think of,
