Chapter Eleven
The next morning she was awakened by the sound of the key in the lock. It was Helen. She walked over to Sophie’s bed and pulled the duvet back, revealing Sophie’s nakedness. She unlocked the chain, collar and handcuffs.
“The next room along the corridor is a bathroom. You may use the lavatory and brush your teeth. That is all.”
“Can’t I...” said Sophie, and suddenly stopped. She had broken the no-speaking rule again.
“Your transgression has been noted,” Helen said. “You will be disciplined for it at six. As I said, you may use the lavatory and brush your teeth. Other ablutions will be performed later after your morning exercises.”
