LAUREEN'S POV I landed in San Diego with a different energy, one I didn't know I had, whatever happened back there, I was glad I had saved my pride as a lady. I took the first cab I could find and took a lift to my apartment. It was exactly the way I had left it, though a little bit dusty. That was one advantage of having an apartment all to yourself; no one would disturb you for any reason, and I loved enjoying my quiet time.
