Chapter Five - Leave him alone

1328 Words
Quinn I take a look at myself in the mirror. I am ready to head out with the guys. I am not too dressed up; more cute and casual. I have one of my plaid skirts on, with a pair of leather boots to my ankles and a plain black tee that show off my midriff. My hair is up in a high ponytail, and little make up on. Some mascara, blusher and my favourite red lipstick. I smile, grab my coat and head through to join the guys. Levi’s eyes fall on me when I step into the living room. He runs his eyes over me, and his tongue darts out of his mouth. I bite my lip to stop myself from smirking. “Bro, stop checking out my little sister,” Jared says and slaps the back of Levi’s head, laughing. Levi quickly pulls his eyes from me and rubs the back of my head, “I wasn’t.” he argues. I snicker at the interaction between them. He was totally checking me out. “I need to grab my jacket and wallet; the car is on its way,” Jared says and disappears to his bedroom. Levi stands from the sofa, and I take a moment to look him over. He has a pair of blue jeans and a tee on. He looks good. “Where are your glasses?” I ask. I like him with his glasses on. “I have my contacts on,” he replies and rubs the back of his. “You look good, though I am sort of missing your glasses.” I pout. A familiar blush rises on his cheek, “Really? I think you are the first person ever to tell me that.” “Yes. You suit your glasses.” I say brightly. “Thank you, that is sweet. And you look, um, pretty.” He stammers out. I step in closer to him, and he swallows hard. “Do you like my skirt?” I purr and rest my hand on his chest. He swallows hard and nods. His breathing suddenly picked up. Maybe I should stop. I hear my brother coming back through and step back from him, putting a distance between us. He quickly pulls himself together, and I pretend I wasn’t just teasing him. “Car is outside.” He says. The three of us head out to the uber waiting for us. Jared jumps in the front seat. Levi opens the car door to the back seat and motions me to slide in first. I thank him with a smile and climb in, Levi following me. He stays at the opposite end of the car from me. The car got on the road to our first stop, which was one of the bars with a pool table. I am useless at pool, so I will sit back and drink cocktails, watching them play. It didn’t take long for us to arrive, my brother paying for the fare. Like the gentleman he is, Levi offers me his hand to help me out. I happily take it and climb out. “Thank you, handsome,” I whisper to make sure Jared doesn’t hear me. “Y-y-your welcome.” He whispers back. The three of us stroll inside. It is pretty busy, but there were some seats free. “You guys’ grab a seat; I will get the drinks. What do you want?” Jared asks. “Just a beer for me, please, bud.” Levi smiles. “Make that two,” I add in. Beer is a good start, but only one because it bloats me. After I will change to gin or something. Jared heads to the bar, and we find a table. Levi seemed to do the same as he did in the cab and sits as far away from me as he could. I am not sure of the reason. Is it because I get to him, or have I upset him when I teased him back at the house? I move closer to him, and he turns to face me. “Is there a reason you are trying to avoid me? Did I do something wrong?” I ask softly. “No, it isn’t that, not at all,” he replies. “Then what is it? If I made you feel uncomfortable, please tell me, Levi. That is the last thing I want to do.” He takes a deep breath, “You don’t make me feel uncomfortable, Quinn. Your attention is flattering and not something I am used to. I just don’t understand why you are doing it.” He sounds genuinely confused. “Why is it hard for you to believe someone is attracted to you?” I ask sadly. “Come on, Quinn, look at me. And then look at you. Girls like you aren’t attracted to guys like me.” he argues. I rest my hand on his knee, “See, that is where you are wrong because I am attracted to you.” I reply honestly. I thought I had made it obvious I was attracted to him. “Y-y-you are? I thought you were messing with.” Seriously who has hurt him because someone doesn’t have such low self-esteem unless someone has made them feel like they aren’t worth it? “Yes. And if my brother weren’t due back, I would show I am serious.” I whisper and rub his leg. He groans, “How? H-h-how would you show me?” “I would press my lips to yours. Would you kiss me back, Levi?” I purr and continue to rub his leg. “Yes,” he breathes out. I didn’t get a chance to respond because I saw Jared coming back. “We can talk later,” I whisper before pulling away. Jared took a seat between us and handed our drinks out. Levi takes a long swig from his bottle. “Thirsty?” Jared chuckles. Levi nods, “Something like that.” I snicker to myself because I know I am the cause of his thirst and warmth. I had gotten him hot and bothered. I lift my beer to my mouth and smirk behind it. I plan on finishing our conversation later, well, if I can get him alone. I might need to wait until Jared is asleep. I can sneak into his room, and Jared will have no clue. I used to sneak around all the time when I was a teenager; he was none the wiser. Levi could change his mind between now and then. I hope he doesn’t, but it is a possibility. “So, I need your help, little sister. We need to get Levi laid.” Jared says and glances over at me. “And does Levi know this plan of yours?” I question with a raised brow. “Yes, and I told him I wasn’t interested.” Levi protests. “I’m just trying to help a guy out. When was the last time you got laid?” Jared asks, looking at him. I see Levi become nervous suddenly. Hmm, has it been that long for him? “Leave him alone, Jared. If he doesn’t want to, then he doesn’t need to. Not everyone needs s*x constantly like you, bro.” I don’t want Levi to become embarrassed or my brother to try to push him. Jared tosses his hands in the hair, “Fine! I will drop it.” Levi and I glance at each other, shake our heads, and laugh. Plus, he can always ask me if he wants to get laid. I would happily oblige. Though something tells me I would be the one who would need to make the first move in that situation. I wouldn’t push him. I will see how the night plays out. Hopefully, my brother will leave him alone for the rest of the night.
