The Unwanted Luna

I sat and watched as the rain poured down on the dry lands while my mind ran blank on my studies. I got taken from my thoughts when my friend Railey came barging in without any warning she had me on my feet dragging me towards the closet. "What has gotten into you!" I asked feeling her grip loosen up while she threw me a glare. "You need to get out of this room and I think that you should take Jakes's invite!" "There is no way that I am going to a party that he is throwing!" "Why? Cause you said no to sleeping with him, either way, he is still your boyfriend? Live a little!" she said before she threw me with a dress. "I'm waiting outside for you!" she mentioned before she left my room. I knew trying to talk my way out was not going to work unless I could bewitch her which I will never do, yet at this moment it seemed possible. I quickly changed and did my makeup while my hair was styled in a bun. I took my black heels that would go nicely with my blue dress. Once I was done I left my room only to find Railey staring at me with a smile. "Stop gloating! Let's just get this over with!" I spoke while walking towards her car. Railey has been my best friend since I arrived here in Rosewood. I ran away from home years ago after finding out my dad's deepest secret that was kept from me. Railey was also the only one who knew my secret of being a witch. So while I was a witch she was a wolf. Most people who lived in Rosewood kept secrets, yet no one asked or tried to get into each other's business since the town was run by a pack called the Crescent Blood Moon pack. I was pulled from my thoughts when the car came to a stop. My eye caught Jakes's house which was now turned into a party scene for all young adults. I found myself walking towards the door while Railey kept on nagging about me being a loner. "Highly disagree, let's just have fun alright?" "We can leave if you want to!" "You made me leave my studies to get dressed in the shortest dress that you could probably find in my closet if you did not even plant it there, so No!" "Well then let's get a drink!" with those smart words we headed straight for the bar to get a couple of drinks before heading out on the dancefloor. The music started to take over with a huge amount of alcohol I started to feel tipsy, but that did not stop me. I guess when I am drinking it makes me forget what my father had done to me and all the betrayal that I had to sit through for years. My hips swayed with the music while my hands were in the air moving with the base. "Hey, Jake asked that you meet him by the swimming pool at the back?" one of his dorky friends said with a smile. I turned around and gave Railey a worried look. We both then headed towards the swimming pool which was at the back a few yards from the house near the woods which creeped me out. We were not even a few steps away when both of us heard someone moaning from pleasure which made my blood boil. My thoughts were all over the place, yet once I saw what was happening I froze. "We need to be quick, Haylie will be here any minute!" he spoke while a girl was now busy unbuttoning his shirt. "I'll be quick, baby!" she replied while taking his shirt off. I stood there looking at what was busy being unfolded in front of my eyes. I took a step back when my back accidentally caused a pot to fall leaving both of them in confusion. Once he had seen me he scurried away from her to get to me, yet it was too late as I ran straight into the woods as fast as I could. Once I felt the need to stop I found Railey right behind me. "Calm down!" "How? Why? I have been good to him Railey! Just cause I said no he had to go and cheat on me!" "Well, he is kind of a d**k, Haylie!" "Did you know?" I asked her and once I was met with silence I knew what my answer was. "Unfucking believable!" I yelled at the top of my lungs feeling the frustration through my body. It has been years since I used my magic, but today I did not care. The wind came up very strong while Railey kept on screaming at me to calm down, yet that was not going to happen. My eyes caught wolves approaching from behind Railey growling instantly. They showed their rage which made me terrified for what was to come. "Railey, please tell me that they are friends of yours?" A hopeful tone came out, yet I hardly think that it sounded like that. "Uh, no definitely not! We need to go! Now Haylie!" "Run!" In a swift movement, we turned around to leave, yet we were met by even more wolves. At this point, we were the main event since they had us all cornered up. I could feel something or someone's aura which made me scared. "Are the two of you lost?" we heard a deep voice say, yet we could not find it until this Greek god took a step out from the dark. His eyes were wine-glowing red with so many dominant features showing. My mouth became instantly dry. "We don't want any trouble, okay?" "If that is so then kindly explain why did the two of you cross the border?" he spoke while taking a step closer. This can't be happening coming face to face with a vampire? "Haylie! Wait up!" We heard a voice screaming only to be met by a pale face that belonged to none other than Jake. "Alpha! I apologize these ladies had lost their way! I will escort them back home!" "No, you won't! I am not going anywhere with you! You're a sick bastard who needs help!" I said with pure anger radiating from me causing lightning to strike next to him. "Haylie calm down! You're kind of losing it!" her words were halfway out when we heard the wolves growling while taking a step closer. "You're a witch!" "Yes, let me and my friend go now or I will do something that you will regret!" "Is that so little witch, how about we find out!" "Wait, you're not scared?" I asked feeling nauseous by the sight of our surroundings. We're going to die today, thanks to me! "Why should I be? I'm going to rip you to shreds then I'll place you on poles for the entire witches council to see!" he said and with that, my anger was all over the place. The darkness was overtaken by lightning bolts while the ground beneath our feet was shaking. "Let us go!" I said trying to harm his hearing, yet he did not even flinch which left me dumbfounded and scared for my life. "Wait! Please.." I heard a familiar voice say. My attention was quickly moved towards the man who stood in front of me. My emotions were all over the place leaving my magic to fade since it was not triggered any more by anger. "You!" I managed to say while taking a step back. "Haylie, wait!" I felt his arm grabbing me before I heard Railey mumbling something. She looked like a puppy that was in love which only meant one thing. "No! There is no way on this earth or the next that the two of you could be.." "MATES!" both of them finished my sentence for me making me cuss them silently and the bloody moon goddess. "Congratulations, but I made a promise to someone who is standing right there!" the red-eyed demon said making my heart race. "You can't hurt her, Rayden!" the voice spoke up. "And why is that Nick?" "Cause she is my sister!" he finally answered the question that was asked a few minutes ago while throwing a death glare at me. "You have a brother, Haylie what is going on?" "I don't have a brother, I had one now please let us go!" "Do you think that I will send my mate away?" "Well then keep her, just let me go!" I begged knowing that it would be hard to compromise with him. "Wait what! I'm not leaving you!" Railey said while glaring at me with confusion. "Nick, invite your friends for dinner tonight! I would love to get to know my beta's mate!" the Greek goddess said before disappearing into the woods.
