Sephora's POV Summer hissed a soft warning to me as mud and water burst through one of the walls, spilling onto the floor and carrying a wiggling mass of small rodents. Right behind us, two lycan rogues stepped into the chamber. As if sensing the presence of fellow evil, the rusty puddle on the floor of the hut erupted into a boiling mass of bubbles. Summer whirled into motion, lighting fire, fashioning a whip of flames to snap at the rodents racing toward me. The fire whip whistled through the air, a dazzling orange-red messenger of death, lashing the creatures in a display of expertise. The smell of burning flesh added to the putrid brew of the puddle. "I don't think these lycans are from here. But then we can't be certain, right?” I asked. "We need to leave. More are coming." I
