My design was simple: The two main sides were hinged in the middle. The top, bottom, front and back folded back on the sides once they collapsed. It was heavy, but it worked and was easy to store in the basement. Remember though that in such an enclosure, your body gives off a great deal of heat and without proper ventilation, remaining in the crate can become oppressively hot. So, design vents to allow for lots of fresh air for breathing and heat venting.
