The guests burst into cries of surprise and horror to see the unknown man and Kalea disappear into thin air. Tobias had lunged for them, but he was already too late before he had even taken his first step.
“LOCK DOWN THE CASTLE!” Stephen thundered his King’s authority—something he rarely, if ever, used. Guards blocked off every entry and exit to the ballroom and the castle. Danny sent out a mindlink to all of the guards outside to make sure that anyone who had already arrived did not leave the premises. Guests were shouting and arguing with the guards to be let out.
