"Are you sure you can't go tonight with Nick and me?" Shay pleaded as I packed my overnight bag.
"I am so sorry I forgot all about the festival tonight and that guy being here, but you and Nick go, I am sure you will have a blast." I smiled. I made plans two weeks after finding out Tyler was supposed to be here, to be out of town looking at some horses for about a week for dad. I had no intention in being in the same town as him, all that love I had, seemed to now be replaced with anger, and I was not going to give him the satisfaction of him knowing it affected me so much.
"But can't you leave in the morning and go with us tonight, I will even go with you tomorrow." She put on her best puppy dog face with the pouty lip and all, I couldn't help but laugh at her
