I was hoping to see her, I hoped that she had been sitting on that wall watching me, I tried to pour my heart and soul into every word I sang, and I only hoped that she felt it. Intermission time came and I felt my heart break when I walked back there, and she was no where to be found. Maybe she really did leave this town and never look back, maybe any chance I ever had of begging for forgiveness really was gone. The final set went by painfully slow and for the first time in a long time I was glad that I didn't have to stand in front of a crowd and sing about things that didn't matter if the one I really wanted to hear them wasn't even here.
