Stella discharged me but put me on bed rest for the next two days. I was itching to do something, anything at this point. Chase was busy during the days as he attended university and my father still hadn’t talked to me. I walked into the house at nine am and went upstairs to my room to take a decent shower. I stood under the hot water for as long as my throbbing leg allowed me and walked into my room with the towel wrapped around my waist. “You look much better,” she said as she sat on my bed. “What are you doing here?” I asked her. “I live here now, it’s good to see you, Ryder,” she said. “I really can’t say the same,” I said, and walked to my dressing room and started getting dressed.
