Elinor was ready to agree to the most absurd request from him. She did not move even when she assumed he was going to kiss her. After hearing him whisper, she was so shocked that, for a moment, she thought her ears were ringing.
Her eyes snapped open, "What?"
Raden's face was still close and he had no intention of maintaining distance. Elinor stepped back to keep that space between them. Since he wasn't going to make any unreasonable demands, she wanted to make sure he didn't get the wrong idea.
"You see, we don't get to leave the pack more than three times a month. Only business owners need to go out there occasionally. And people like me who don't have a reason are always stuck inside. I don't have human friends," Raden explained.
