Chapter Six

1011 Words
Alpha Clark's POV My phone rings and I do not recognize the number. Thinking it was a potential client I answer. I was driving so it was a little difficult to talk. I couldn't hear anything so I told the person I was in a bad area and to try again later. I drove all around the city trying to find the S.O.B that destroyed my mate in front of me. "Clark, something is wrong with mate." "Yes, Harvey she is hurting. I can feel her loneliness." I will not try to fool myself I am happy that she may be alone. I wish I knew where she lived. I didn't want to push it with Isobel though. I pulled over because I needed to rest my eyes for a few minutes. I also need to find a place to eat. I really couldn't think about that because my thoughts were with Isobel. "F*ck." I yelled slamming my hand into the dashboard. "What is it Clark?" Harvey came out when he sensed my anger. "It was Isobel. I know it was. I thought it was bad reception." I'm telling Harvey as I was feeling around for my phone. It was on the floor. How did it get on the floor? I picked it up and dialed the last number that called. I was sure it was my mate. "Hello?" She answered and sounded defeated. "Isobel? Is that you? Are you okay?" No answer. My heart is pounding out of my chest. "We need to get to her Clark."  "Isobel, baby. Please answer me. Is everything ok?" Way to go stupid why did you call her baby? "Angel... Are you still there? Did he hurt you? Is he there with you?" Again stupid stop with the pet names, but I am concerned. "N-No Mr. Matthews. I-I am truly sorry I shouldn't have called you. Forgive me." She sounds scared. I panicked. "Don't hang up." I plead with her. I need to convince her to let me come to her. "It's quiet over there. That tells me you are alone. Angel, you shouldn't be there alone. I will come for you we can go for a ride and talk if you want. Please let me come and get you." She started crying again. "Ok, Mr. Matthews." She gave me her address and I wasted no time at all. Five minutes later I burst through her door. She's on the floor and my heart drops. I can hear her heart beating. I slow my breathing and I look around there is nothing here. I walk through the apartment there is nothing not even clothes for her. That's odd. Did he take everything? F*cking coward. He must have done it while she was at work. Her purse contents are scattered around her. I put everything back to take with me. It's all she has besides her little blue car. I slowly pick her up and she's limp. She doesn't stir, doesn't make noise and she's very light. Her cheeks are stained with mascara from all her crying. I wish she had let me come back with her to begin with then she would not have been left alone for all that time. I carry her to my Jeep and buckle her into the passenger's seat. I run over and get in the driver's seat and make a phone call. Thanks to the creation of these devices I don't have to wait and surprise people anymore. "Abel, I have her. No she was passed out on the floor. He must have taken everything. I took a quick look around and I didn't even see clothes for her. I want him to pay." Anger surges inside of me. "And of course I am sure, Harvey won't stop yelling at me about it. Dude the coffee shop was packed, when she looked at me I growled 'MINE' so since you are mated tell me is that not the mate bond?"  "Sounds like it to me. And thanks for answering multiple questions I had without asking." Abel replies. "She wants me to reject her. She asked for me to give her some time to get over the d*ck before I did." I chuckled and ignore how I answered his unasked questions. "Why are you laughing at that. This is serious dude." Abel sounds mad now. "I told her I couldn't properly reject her because I didn't know her last name." He then let out a chuckle. "Because she's a rogue. She thinks the Goddess has made a mistake. Abel, I can't lie I faltered and thought the same thing in front of her. She seen my face and obviously sensed it. I royally f*cked up there. I believe there is a reason why the Goddess paired us. She's my Luna."  "Clark, do you think the pack will want a rogue for a Luna? No disrespect I'm happy that you have finally found her. After all we never thought it would happen. You liked having all those she-wolves." He's trying not to piss me off. Didn't work but I held my tongue for the most part.  "I don't give a f*ck. Half the pack were rogues. So you think they will defy me as their Alpha of the Full Moon Pack? If they don't like it they can go back to being rogues. They need to remember where they came from. I'm bringing her home. There is too much pain for her here. And I waited a lot longer than you. I was twenty three remember? I tried waiting for my mate. I wanted just her, I gave up too quick with that endeavor. Abel, I love her already." "Wow Clark I never thought we would see the day our big bad Alpha fell in love. Okay then. Bring our Luna home." With that I drove the hour back to the territory. Keeping my eye on the woman I have fallen for already. I held her hand for a short time and told her she will be a great Luna.
