Rachelle's POV
It's already morning, so even though my head hurts I still forced myself to get up. I took my phone to see what time it was. 10:26 AM.
There are many text massages from my two friends.
GWEN: hey, Trish. What happened last night? I can't remember. I heard someone was shot outside the bar?
LEXA: Trish, is it true that someone was shot last night?"
I stopped replying to my friend's texts and was lazy to go inside the bathroom to take a bath.
Daddy isn't home today because he's on a business trip, so I'm only with helpers here at home.
Today is sunday and I really want to hangout with my friends today but because of what happend last night, I can't go outside. Until now I feel nervous in my chest from last night's events.
After taking a bath, I came out of the bathroom with a white towel wrapped in my body and also my wet hair too.
I was sitting on my bed when my phone rang, and when I saw daddy calling, I smiled and answered it.
"Hello daddy! How's your business trip?"
"It sad because I left my only princess again."
Daddy's sad voice made me smile. Even though he's always not home and always abroad for his business, I know he's still thinking about my situation here. He's the best dad ever.
I was still young when mommy died, that's why daddy took care of me and raised me alone. And because I'm daddy's only child, he gives everything I want just to make me happy.
"Daddy, don't forget your gift for me."
Rinig ko ang pagtawa ni daddy sa kabilang linya dahil sa sinabi ko.
"Of course, Darling. I won't forget it, I promise."
After dad and I calls, I got out from my room and went down the stairs. I went straight to the kitchen to get something to eat.
"Oh, hija. Gising ka na pala. Kanina pa kita kinakatok sa kuwarto mo para makapag almusal ka na," bungad sa akin ni Nanay Pena, ang aming mayodorma dito sa bahay.
"It's just a bit late when I woke up, Nanay Pena." I replied before I sat down. There's already food prepared in the table. I felt hungry.
"Naku hija, hindi naman sa nakikialam ako ha, pero kasi nag-aalala lang ako sa iyo dahil sa mga pangyayari. Balita ko may namatay daw sa bar na pinuntahan niyo kagabi."
I almost spit out what I'm eating because of Nanay Pena said.
I was surprised. I looked at her. "How did you know that I left last night?" I asked her and immediately reached a glass of water before drinking it directly.
"Nagpunta ako sa kuwarto mo kagabi para sana dalhan ka ng meryenda kaso wala ka, kaya alam kong tumakas ka na namang bata ka! Alam mong masyadong delikado sa labas lalo't gabi na."
I just sighed.
I know she will tell daddy no matter how much I stop her. I just kept quite and ate.
After eating, I go back to my room and watch a movie until night and never leave my room.
I'm the only child of my parents, so when daddy is not here, I'm always sad and alone like now.
Gusto ko sanang gumala, pero natatakot parin ako. I feel traumatized by what happened last night.

The Next Day
I'm excited to come out of my room wearing my school uniform. Today is monday and I'm very excited.
But my sweet smile suddenly disappeared when I saw my bodyguard standing at the front door.
Gosh! How many times I told daddy that I don't like bodyguard.Nahihiya na ako sa mga schoolmates ko.
Feeling ko ay mababaliw na ako dahil sa inis tuwing may nakabuntot na bodyguard sa aking likuran.
If dad would just get a bodyguard, he would have chosen the one with the looks. My bodyguard now is worse than the appearance of r****t in the show. Kaya minsan natatakot ako pagbumubuntot siya sa aking likuran. Masama din siya tumingin, 'yun bang klase ng tingin na parang gusto akong kainin nang buo. Kinikilabutan ako minsan sa kanya. May pangisi-ngisi pa siyang nalalaman na para bang may masamang balak.
Damn! I feel like I'm with a drug addict every time I go to school.
So instead of smiling entering the campus, my face is grumpy from being badtrip.
Some students were whispering while I passed by, but I immediately raised my eyebrows to them.
Sino ba naman kasi ang hindi mapapatingin sa akin, eh may mukhang adik lang naman akong kasama. Damn!
I couldn't take this anymore.
I immediately stopped walking and facing my bodyguard behind me.
"You're pissing me off, manong! Kaya puwede ba, huwag kang buntot nang buntot sa akin. And from now on you're fired," mahinahon kong sabi at tinaasan ng kilay ang bodyguard ko.
I saw the shock on his face. So before he could speak, I immediately turned around and left him speechless.
I don't care about his feelings. I know that I'm very cruel for him but I really don't care!
Malayo palang ako ay rinig ko na ang ingay na nagmumula sa aming class room. Napangiti ako. Sigurado akong wala pa ang aming professor kaya napakaingay.
Pagkapasok ko ng room ay agad na tumili ang dalawa kong kaibigan nang makita ako. Patakbo akong lumapit sa kanilang dalawa at bumeso.
"Good morning!" I immediately sat in my chair next to Gwen.
"Good morning too, Rachelle Trish Hanson!" Halos magkasabay na sagot ng dalawa kong kaibigan. I rolled my eyes on them.
"Trish, magkuwento ka naman kung anong nangyari kagabi sa bar na pinuntahan natin," ani Lexa.
Napatango naman si Gwen. "Oo nga, Trish. What happened? I just found out when I watched on the news that a man died."
I rolled my eyes. "I also don't know anything. I was drunk last night, we are both drunk." I lied.
"Tsk.." Gwen rolled her eyes on me. "I don't believe you, ayaw mo lang magkuwento, eh!"
"Come on Rachelle. . . magkuwento ka na habang wala pa si Prof dito." Pangunglit ni Lexa na hinampas pa ako sa braso ng hawak na notebook.
Hays naman! Ang hirap talaga magkaroon ng kaibigan na makukulit. 'Yung feeling na ayaw mo na nga magkuwento pero pinipilit ka pa. Eh gusto ko na ngang makalimutan ang nangyari kagabi, pero heto't inu-ungkat na naman ng dalawa kong kaibigan. My gosh!
"Argh! Sige na nga habang wala pa si Prof," pagsuko ko.
Napangiti ang dalawa kong kaibigan.Pero akmang magsasalita na ako para sana magkuwento nang biglang pumasok ang professor namin.
Napangisi nalang ako sa dalawa kong kaibigan nang makita ang pagsimangot nilang dalawa.

While our professor is teaching, I still can't help but think about what happened last night. Siguro kung wala doon ang taong palaging nagliligtas sa akin ay malamang pinaglalamayan na ako ngayon. It's good that there's always someone who saves my life whenever I'm in danger. He's my Red Rose, the person who hides in the dark just to protect me from all dangers. But never once have I seen his face. I don't even know if he's a boy or a girl.
After our last subject, we immediately went to the cafeteria.
"What do you want to eat, Trish?" Gwen asked me while looking at the cell phone she's holding. Nakaupo na kaming tatlo sa isang table.
"Popcorn," I replied.
"What!" My two friends laughs. "Rachelle Trish, anong trip mo nasa sinehan tayo?"
"Nasa cafeteria tayo, girl." Gwen laughs again.
I looked at them with my bored expression and crossed my arms to my chest. "I already knew that we are here in the cafeteria, so what? Is there something in the law of the Philippines that it is not allowed to eat popcorn inside the cafeteria? I think there's not!" I rolled my eyes and flipped my long hair. "I'm on diet now, girls! So just buy me a popcorn and pineapple juice as well."
Sabay na napailing ang dalawa kong kaibigan at kalaunan ay tumayo na si Lexa mula sa upuan. "Sige na, ako na ang bibili. Hiyang-hiya naman ako sa popcorn mo," reklamo nito na sinabayan pa ng pag-irap bago tumalikod.
Five minutes later, Lexa returned with the ordered foods.
While we were eating inside the cafeteria, my two friends kept talking about something. It's good that they forgot to ask me again about what happened last night.
"Trish-OMG! Look, your crush is coming here!" Gwen said while looking at my back.
I already know who she referring to. I immediately look back while there's a smile on my lips. But my sweet smile suddenly disappeared when I saw Gian Zarlox, the most handsome basketball player. May ka-holding hands na isang magandang babae.
"OMG! Who's that girl na kasama niya? I thought he was single? Don't tell me he already has a girlfriend?" Hindi makapaniwalang sabi ni Lexa na nakatakip pa sa bibig ang isang kamay, pero mabilis itong siniko ni Gwen at napatingin silang dalawa sa akin.
"Come on, guys. I'm okay! Let's just eat." I laughs while holding the popcorn that Lexa bought in my hand.
Ang sakit palang makita ang crush mo na may ka-holding hands na iba. Damn!
Gian Zarlox is my crush since I was in first year college, and of course until now he's still my crush. But I'm sure he doesn't know me either because he's a fourth-year college and I'm just a 2nd year college in business administration course. Actually this is not the course I want, but because it's what daddy wants, I just persevere.
