I am aware how dangerous Kira Vitale is. I know that he has a lot of connections with different groups and many people are working under him. Doing what he wants. Giving him the satisfaction that he needs.
Well, because first of all, he has a lot of money to waste on those who work for him.
He is also known for being too generous to anyone who does him a favor for him.
That is why a lot of people are protecting him from the governments that want to prosecute him.
"You still don't know who to save the ex-princess?" Adze suddenly appeared beside me as he scanned all the papers in front of me.
"I know what to do to save the woman," I said. "But I am thinking about what will happen next. Once I take away the ex-princess, Kira will surely do everything to find her."
Her crimes in the palace are still not being taken care of and she still remains exiled so her family cannot protect her in public.
Their capacity to support us is limited and Vitale is a big mafia group that will surely come after me if I manage to take Leana Avenir away from Kira.
"I need to come up with a plan to keep her safe while the king is processing her crimes, cleaning her name and taking her title back." I sighed. "At first, I thought that it was just an easy rescue mission but there are consequences that I have to consider if I want to accomplish my goal.
"I understand," Adze said. "That is why I am willing to help you."
I frowned. "And what help can you offer me?"
"Lancelot has a safe house near the beach," he said. "No one really knows about that place except for me and him. You can take the ex-princess there while the palace is taking care of her case. Vitale will surely not find you."
"So, I have to hide her?"
He nodded. "That is the easiest way. Take her away from Kira, hide her in a secluded island where only two people know about the location, and protect her no matter what happens."
I didn't say anything but that stuck to my mind.
He has a point.
Protecting her is not really an issue for me. I can do that since it was only for a while. We will just have to wait until the palace restores her title and Kira will never be able to lay his hand on her again because he will not risk taking on the bad side of the Avenir Clan.
"So? What do you say about my idea?" Adze asked.
I extended my hand in front of him. "Where is the location of that island and where is the key to access it?"
He smiled and immediately handed me a key card. "All the information on that island is there. Lancelot also made sure that all supplies that you will need are already there so you don't have to worry about anything else." He also handed me a burner cell phone. "Use this one to contact only me in case you need something. Just to make sure that no one will be able to locate you."
"So you will be the middleman to me and the Seventh Sector?"
He nodded. "That is the safest way. Once you move, Vitale will surely realize that our organization was the one that got hired by the King so he will start targeting us."
"And they will surely try to get access in our system so I can't really have any contract with Li San and Sir George."
"Right," he said. "I can protect myself, especially Lancelot in case they learn that I know where you are but they will not push their luck into fighting me face to face so it will be better for this."
I stared at the key card and cellphone burner that he gave. "Why are you doing this?" I turned to him. "I mean, you don't really have to do this, right? This is my mission."
"I know and I am not taking any credit with that mission," he said and sighed. "I just had a bad feeling about this mission and I am afraid that something bad will happen to you if I don't do something to help you."
Well, I can't really blame him for thinking like that.
Vitale Mafia is a dangerous group and it will surely crush me piece by piece if I don't move carefully with my mission.
"Besides, this is also my pay back for what you did when I was the one in trouble," he added.
"You know—"
"You did me a great favor back then, Storm," he said. "You gave me the chance to save him and keep us both alive so let me help you with this mission of yours as a favor from a grateful friend."
Ever since he met that boyfriend of his, he clearly changed the way he sees things around him.
Before, he only cared about money. He doesn't waste his time on anything or anyone that doesn't give him money because that is the most important thing in his life.
But everything changes when he meets Lancelot. He fell in love with him to the point that he sacrificed a huge amount of money that he could have in exchange for that man's life. He even sacrificed his credibility as part of Seventh Sector and chose to fight us just to save the man that he loves.
And now, he doesn't really care about money at all. He now focused on taking care of the people that matter in his life.
Well, I am glad that I am included in that.
I tapped his shoulder and smiled. "Thank you, dude," I said. "I promise, I will do this mission carefully so you won't have to worry."
"You better be, dude."
Now that I have all the things that I need, it is now time for me to rescue the ex-princess.
