“Find the girl.” Dremis growled, as Sarah reappeared in the dark part of the hallway. “She has tricks!”             Sarah wasn’t sure where she would be able to go. She didn’t know a lot about magic, she never paid attention to her Mother when she was trying to teach her things. Now she wished she did. Trying the doors, they were all bound with magic.             “Damn.” She said closing her eyes. She wasn’t sure if she could get out of there without that book. She had to find that book again, she knew it would help her out. She wondered if it was somewhere on the realm since Marcus just made the thing vanish.             Sarah closed her eyes, thinking about the book. “Redeo libro.” The book appeared in her hands.             Dremis and Marcus stood about twenty feet from her. Dremis summoned some magic, threatening to hit her with it. “Impressive.” Dremis said.             “I wouldn’t.” Sarah growled. “This book belonged to my mother.” She said pulling her closer to her. “I can make myself disappear long enough to figure out to get out of this hell hole.” She challenged.             Dremis didn’t wait, he tried to hit her with magic. “Magicae clypeus.” A magic shield formed around her. Absorbing the dark magic. “I warned you.” Sarah said flipping through the book trying to find a spell to get her out of there before the shield wore off.             Dremis continued to throw magic at the shield to make it weaker. Marcus disappeared, he had to be faster than Sarah was if he wanted to get control of her again. She couldn’t find the spell; the shield went down.             Marcus grabbed her from behind, he summoned a dagger and held it to her throat. “Close the book.” She did what she was told. Dremis snatched the book out of her hand.             “Good girl.” Dremis said walking away with the book, Marcus forced Sarah to follow.             Marcus forced her down in the same chair she sat in before. He watched her, “so this is old Latin huh?” “No.” Sarah said looking away from him. “It’s angelic magic, demons cannot read it.” She said looking a Dremis studying the book., he looked annoyed. “She is right.” Dremis said closing the book. “So how do you keep this from her?” he said tapping his fingers to his chin. “Fire.” He said walking over to the burning fire. When he went to throw it into the fire, it flew back to Sarah. “You cannot destroy it.” Sarah said looking down at the book. “Whether or not, I will get out of here, it’s only a matter of time before I remember the spell.” She said closing her eyes. “No use taking the book, it is bound to me now. It will find me.” “And if we change you into a demon, and mess all the good magic in your line up, then what?” Dremis challenged. “You’re too late.” She said opening her eyes. “Now let me go!”             “No!” Dremis growled. “You are staying here forever; your line is done.”             Sarah shook her head; she was getting out of there one way or another. The book had the answers, but she knew the demons wouldn’t allow her to read from it. “I am hungry, why don’t you demons get me something.” She said looking at Marcus and then Dremis.             “I’ll go.” Marcus said disappearing.             “So, you want to play a game?” Dremis challenged, he wanted her to use her magic to see how strong she was.             “I don’t play games.” She glared at him.             “Well, what if I allow you to leave if you beat me?” Dremis said walking closer to her. He hoped she would take the challenge. “I mean you have a shield and all so I am sure you’re going to win.”             “Why do demons always have to show off to be powerful?” Sarah said rolling her eyes. “My Mother killed every single demon that challenged her. Their egos bigger than their magic.”             Dremis wanted to hurt her, he wasn’t going to wait for her to accept the challenge. He quickly summoned magic and hit her, causing her to cry out in pain. Dremis walked over to her, he picked her up by the neck. “So, you see I am stronger than you, the fact you did nothing to stop me from hurting you shows me you have no magic only a small defense.             Sarah didn’t want to show him her power, she wasn’t even sure she was ready. After her mother was murdered, and her magic book disappeared, she closed off any magical powers she had.             “I have magic you demonic shit.” She said struggling to breathe.             “Prove it.” He said dropping her, he kept her back to her hoping she would try something.             Sarah summoned some magic, it was a little too much for her, but she wanted to use it before she lost it. She tried hitting Dremis with it, but it destroyed the bookshelf instead.             “Impressive, a little far off.” He said turning towards her. “Here I will stand here and let you hit me. Free shot.”             She tried hitting him three more time before she was too exhausted to do anymore. Dropping down to her hands and knees, she looked around, not one of her magical balls hit him, he stood there with a smile on his face.             “Well at least we don’t have to worry about your aim.” He said walking over to her, the book on the floor next to her. He picked the book up, and helped her to her feet, he pushed her down and bound her again with magic.             Marcus appeared, “What happened here?” he said looking at Dremis.             “I was having a little fun. The Witch doesn’t aim very well.” He said laughing, “She is going to be weak for a while, might want to start our ritual, who knows when Carlos will come for her.” He said walking away from them. He needed to find out more about her magic, he’d never come across it before.             Marcus picked up Sarah. “Wake up I have your food here.” He said shaking her. He sat her down at a table in the corner, and went to talk to Dremis while she ate. He wasn’t worried about her disappearing, at least not yet.             Sarah watched the two demons; she knew she had to use her magic to get out of there. She couldn’t recall if her Mother ever tried to each her a spell to get her out of trouble. She hated not remembering things. She was six when her mother was brutally killed in front of her. After that day she went into foster care because her father disappeared on her. She had no siblings, when she was sixteen, she got pregnant and gave the baby up for adoption. She figured the little girl would do better without her. With her current situation, she was glad she did just that.             Looking down at the book, she turned to the page that gave her an out. She had to summon a portal to get out, but she wasn’t sure how easy it would be to do, as she had never done it.             She said the words and the portal appear almost next to Dremis and Marcus. They both turned to her, she tried to run past them, but Dremis was faster. “Oh no you don’t.” he said flipping her around so she wasn’t facing him. After the portal disappeared, he forced her to looking at him. “Time for the ritual.” He said throwing her into Marcus’ arms. “Now!” he snapped back.             Marcus pushed her forward so he was walking behind her, and they followed Dremis.             “I don’t think you want to do this.” She said looking over her shoulder. She wanted to try and disappear, but she knew they were expecting it.             Dremis pushed open the door to a cell. He walked in; Marcus pushed her into the room. A stone table was in the middle.             “I am not going to ask your nicely.” Dremis growled. “Get on the table.”             “No.” she said taking a step back, “I won’t let you do this!”             Dremis grabbed her by the throat. He lifted her up, and forced her back against the table hitting her head. “Vinctum.”             Sarah tried sitting up, but she was bound by magic. “I can play these games too.” She said as she began to speak, but Dremis covered her mouth.             “I am starting to understand how you think.”  He said looking down at her. “Don’t worry when you wake up, you will not remember anything here. Your book will forget you, and when the Angels come for you, we will take them out one by one. I am going for Carlos first, he always seems to interfere with my plans.             He went back to reading from the spell book in front of him. He lit the candles with a wave of his hands. Marcus summoned a dagger, placing it near her head. “Are you ready?” Marcus said looking down at Sarah.             “Yes. Let’s begin.” Dremis said cutting his wrist, and dripping it into a silver cup, he cut Sarah’s wrist too. She winced in pain, but she couldn’t scream. “unum vinctum usque ad mortem.” He said taking a drink of their blood. “Now you better drink this.” He said looking down at Sarah.             “No.” she said shaking her head.             Marcus grabbed her face, poking his fingers into her jaw, forcing her to open her mouth. Dremis poured the blood into her mouth, she tried spitting it out, but Marcus closed her mouth.             “Now I am going to release you to the Angels. Wherever you are, I will find you.” He said waving his hand over her body, she was able to sit up. She felt light headed and passed out.
