NOW, WITH AIDEN LEADING the way, the three of them worked their way down the pathway through the preserve. It wouldn’t take long for them to reach the old railway depot, and Sammy was excited to be with Toby again. “The depot is just around the next bend, Aiden,” Megan whispered as she grabbed his arm to slow him down. It was amazing to her how quietly such a large man could walk through the night. Sammy’s light footsteps made no sound on the pathway, and Megan felt like an elephant walking next to them.
