Chapter 4: The break up

After dinner Sophia went back to her room. She was very sleepy and yet she managed to stay awake because she hadn't finished putting her stuff in the closet. She then got her phone and checked her email. There she found out that there were indeed new instructions from the Del Barrio. Well, she ' seldom touched her phone after Jackson cheated . She also checked the information she sent, ..what was Lucian talking about the Lullaby Orphanage. ? Is she really using the orphanage as her reference ? She felt guilty. What had she done? Her rage for Jackson and Margot got the better of her. Kahit magsisinungaling pa siya makalayo lang ay ginawa niya. Required kasi na may work experience . Kaya napilitan siyang e add na dati siyang employee sa Lullaby Orphanage. What the heck. , the break up impaired my judgement.. Tama nga naman si Lucian, naka fill up nga sa application that her first working experience is in the Lullaby Orphanage. The position was not stated. Kaya, nagtanong sa kaniya yong tao. Sophia yawned. Antok na antok na talaga siya. She decided to lay down. Pero nang nakahiga na siya ay bumalik sa kaniyang diwa ang pait ng buhay na tinakasan niya sa Maynila.She remembered everything like it was yesterday. That Saturday morning when she surprised Jackson , but ended heartbroken to unfold the scene in front of her. Jackson on he's pajama with a disheveled hair , Margot on the bed lying naked. Where did I go wrong , you idiot!! You promised me that if something goes wrong ,..you gonna tell me and fix everything !!! " She lost her cool and scratch Jackson on the arms, chest and face . "Baby.., please come down ..I don't mean to hurt you., I swear." He hugged Sophia. "Please calm down." Sophia pushed him hard. " Keep your hands off me , you fool ! And stop calling me baby ..! You disgust me! " Sophia is crying frantically . " Then leave. " Margot intervene. " It's so early to witness your drama .. can't you understand that he's falling out of love ? Nagpupumiglas ito sa pagkahawak ni Jackson. "That's enough Margot." He said irritably. Binalingan ng tingin ni Margot si Jackson. " What is wrong with you ,! I told you already to break up with her? What took you so long to do it anyway!? Don't tell me you still have feelings for her..after spending days and night with me and having a steamy s** all the time..Now, mamili ka ..ako ba o siya?! " Margot said shamelessly. Nandilat ang mga mata ni Jackson sa narinig . And Sophia had enough . Bagay nga ang dalawang magsama , walang filter ang bibig ng babaeng ito kung magsalita. And Jackson can't keep up his pants , they deserved each other. She wiped her tears and said to both of them. " No need to let him choose, you deserve each other., you are shameless and likes to bang around with a guy that is already taken. .. and you .." she looked at Jackson. " ....since you can't put up your pants, I'm letting you go..the moment you cheat on me , which I'm guessing, simula ng dumating ang babaeng ito.." she glanced at Margot. " ....noon pa lang tapos na ang relasyon natin ,, kaya Lang nagmukha akong tanga kasi ngayon lang kita nahuli...I don't want to see you anymore! " She said and calmly walked out the door. She could hear Jackson calling and pleading for her to listen and tried to follow her outside. He still got the nerve! She could also hear Margot whining and warning him not to follow Sophia.

Sophia wiped the unwanted tears that fell from her eyes as she walked through the hallway of the hotel. She paid no attention sa mga taong nakatingin sa kaniya habang siya ay nagpapahid ng kaniyang mga luha. She went straight to the airport and booked a flight way back to Manila. When she arrives in her condo. , her phone is ringing non-stop . Siguro ang walanghiyang lalaki ang tumawag sa kaniya. She switched her phone off and decided to pack her things and maybe go to a place where she won't be meeting or see her ex boyfriend. That jerk has access to her condo , so she changed her locked . She decided to book a flight to Siargao and stay there for a while. But before that she dropped to Lullaby Orphanage. The orphanage is where she grew up. Sophia was abandoned when she was a child. According to Aunt Martha, the Head Orphanage care giver., sanggol pa lamang ito ng matagpuan nila sa pintuan ng kanilang building. Agad nila itong kinupkop at inaruga. . Walang pagkakilanlam kay Sophia , except for the necklace with a big letter S pendant on it . The necklace was also in the basket where Sophia is lying. Kaya siya pinangalanang Sophia dahil ito sa pendant na letter S. Bata pa lang ay napakaganda na nito. That's why the orphanage named her Sophia , it means beauty and sophistication. Sa loob ng pamamalagi ni Sophia sa Orphanage ay samo't -saring paghihirap ang kaniyang nararanasan. She had a hard life growing up in the Lullaby Orphanage. It seems that everyone picks on her. Palagi siyang makikita ng kapwa niya bata . She can't understand why she's the target of bullying , when all she does is keep quiet, and stays in the corner after doing their job . " That's because you are very beautiful and intelligent Sophia. Kahit bata ka pa , ang ganda ganda mo . You possess qualities na wala sa kanila. Ito lang kasi sa lahat ang mabait sa kaniya. Ang lahat ay parting galit sa kaniya . She was so thankful when there was a couple who visited the Orphanage and saw her. Sina Mr. And Mrs Mendez. They were enchanted by her beauty and so decided to adopt her. The couple decided to change Sophia's family name since she will be adoptive legally. Her first name is still Sophia but the family name was changed to Mendez. She was delighted to live with her adoptive parents because they shower her with gifts and everything she's missing as a child. And she was able to go to an exclusive school. Years passed and Sophia grew up to have exquisite beauty. A fair beautiful soft skin, tall and slim. She's a brunette with prominent brown eyes. But Sophia's happiness did not last long . One week before her debut , she received a phone call from the hospital telling her that her parents had a vehicular accident and they're sorry they don't make it . She was devastated . Nine years of living in a house that she finally called home is now empty. But, life must go on. Regardless of what happened . Her grieving heart must go on. She continues her studies. While she was in College she worked as a part-time model in one of the clothing industries, until she graduated from her studies. She focuses on her modelling career then. After a year Sophia Mendez became famous in the world of modelling. She got to travel the country and sometimes abroad. It was then that she met Jackson Perez. .

Jackson is also a model . He is so handsome .and he courted her. Sophia ignores him because he has a reputation of being a player. But Jackson is persistent . He showers Sophia with gifts , jewelry, and some stuff which she politely declines. The man is impossible to stop in courting her. Until , she developed her feelings towards him . Jackson is always on her side . They were on the team every time the company had a runway show. Jackson made him happy and laughed. Eventually, Sophia recovered from the pain of losing her adoptive parents whom she loved dearly.

But now , she's all alone in a place she thought did not exist.
