“ Grace, you should eat something”, I turned to look at my husband who stood their looking gorgeous, he moved to me and snaked his arms around my shoulder and lifted me up, “You can’t starve yourself Grace I will find a way to save her, and don’t you worry about that, I would find a way to tear them apart so that she will be safe from them”, I looked at him, I closed my eyes controlling my tears, It’s all coz of me Scarlett is suffering, I couldn’t tell him coz of the spell, god, save her.

“ Grace, Is something bothering you”, I opened my eyes and smiled at him, I nodded as no, “ No, I can see it, you are shutting yourself from me Grace, it’s not like you, you have changed, I think you are keeping something from me”, I inhaled deeply and No, I can’t get caught, he will find out soon anyway, but I can't say to him now and he would hate me for this for his whole life, what have I done to our own daughter, but I didn’t have another way. I shut myself and smiled at him, “ Dear, I was just thinking about Scarlett, we should listen to them, you know, it’s not their problem they are mated, we should”, he cut me in the middle by waving his hand, “ No, it’s not going to happen”, he snapped at me, “ But at least you should give them a chance”, I looked at him hopefully, but he being an Alpha didn’t move a finger, “ Never, I don’t want you to speak about this again, that f*****g vampire should be out of her life ”, he growled at me.

“ We should at least meet our daughter, it’s not right to jail her in her own home like this Xavier, you may be an big Alpha but she our only daughter”, I said to him in frustration, how could he lock her in her own room, I miss her, he is not even allowing me to see her, even I’m not willing to see her, she is miserable coz of me, how can I see her when her suffering is coz of me, she will find out everything if she sees me. I can't lose her.

“ Grace, it’s for her own good, until I find a way to solve this problem, I can’t allow her out”, I cut him in mid looking at him angrily, “ You cannot be like this Xavier, she is our f*****g daughter, how could you be like this”, I glared at him, “ I feel very terrible for being her pathetic mother who can’t do anything for her own daughter”, I shouted at him, “ Grace, it’s”, I again cut him in the middle.

“ Don’t say it’s for her own good”, I snapped at him, argh this mind link, I could read his every stupid reason for holding his own daughter as captive, I inhaled deeply and looked at him, “ You can’t undone anything done by moon goddess, ask her, speak with her Xavier, don’t try to punish my daughter like this”, I shouted at him, “Do you think I want to do this? And she is our daughter”, he growled at me, “ Whatever, she is going out today, I mean you are not gonna house arrest her, and you are not gonna lock her anymore in our home”, he started to speak but I stopped him again by raising my hands, “ That’s enough, no more arguments, my decision is final, she will be out today and I want to see our daughter”, I looked at him piercing through his heart, I know what he is trying to do, but it will not help her, she will get tired of us or will leave us for being bad parents.

Before he could speak anything someone knocked at the door, “ Who the hell is that?”, he snapped at them, a guard shouted from the other side of the door, “ someone has come to visit you Alpha they are waiting for you”, he told anxiously, “ Tell them to wait”, he snapped at him again and looked at me, “ Grace, you know I didn’t mean to hurt her”, he said in a low voice. I know about my Xavier he always puts his family first, I know why he is acting like this, he is over protective of his daughter, “ Don’t raise your voice Alpha, I know you”, I pulled him to a hug, he inhaled my smell calming himself, “ You should calm sometimes you know”, I winked at him, he laughed out loud, “ You look beautiful Grace”, I raised my eye brow looking at him, he kissed me on my lips, I smiled at him, “ You know you are still young and handsome”, I said shyly to him, he smiled at me, we stayed in each other’s arms, we pulled away after some time, he nodded at me, and moved to the door.

I stopped him in the tracks and pulled him close kissed him hard on his lips, he was shocked and he eventually melted in my kiss, I pulled away from him smiling at him, he chuckled looking at me, “ You are really naughty”, he moved close to me, I pushed him away, “ You have our people waiting outside get going my dear Alpha”, I smiled at him, “ You are trying to seduce me, it's your mistake that you are being too sexy , that makes me want to stay near you", he winked at me. " It's not going happen, get going, everyone is waiting for you", I smiled at him, " You know, I will come once everything is over, wait for me”, I could feel heat radiating from his body, I pushed him to the door, “ Always”, I kissed him, he closed the door and went out. I smiled at the door and sat in the bed thinking about his words.

My smile is gone in a second when I thought about Scarlett, What is Scarlett doing now?, Should I speak with her?, She already has a doubt on me, I know she is eager to know what’s wrong with me and she wants to know the reason why I’m behaving like this.

It’s time to tell her the truth, even the spell brings me death, I need to tell her everything, she needs to know all, I inhale deeply and stood from the bed, it’s time to tell the truth to her, she needs to know all, may be she will think me as a bad mother but I want to know that I did it coz of my love for the family. I want to tell her that I love her more.

If she rejects me and avoids me I will accept her punishment, I don’t know how Xavier will take this. May be Xavier will think reject me, but I did what I had to do, I had no other options between it's for my family.

May be the promise I did to her is the reason why Adam is mated to Scarlett, but she said that my daughter is born to rule and her mate will claim her, may be he is Adam. I should speak with Scarlett and clear my doubts and then I will tell Xavier.

I inhaled deeply and moved to the door, I kept my hand on the door handle, I heard a big voice booming from the corridor, “ What the hell are you doing here?”, I could say it's my husband, why and at whom is he shouting now? I open the door and ran outside to see who was it, I was shocked to see Adam Tyler standing there looking at the Alpha and challenging him.
