DEVIL'S INNOCENT BRIDE

CHAPTER 2

The rude people just kept knocking loudly. It was annoying because it felt like someone was literally trying their best to brake the door. These people had no manners. For a moment, Rose felt like they were going to brake the door and forcefully come inside the house without permission.

Gran literally run towards door to see who was the immature rude person. There stood some big mens in front of the door. Looks like they were here for some business. Grandma walked out with them to talk about something she didn't know about. Gran had closed the door already so that Rose couldn't hear anything.

She didn't know why their conversation was so private. But it's really not her business and it looked like grandmother already knew them so she was not worried about her well being at all.

But when she noticed her grandma was taking too much time with them she started to feel worried about it.

"Is everything alright?" She asked couldn't help but ask herself out of fear. Because now she was more worried. What were they talking to her grandma in discreet? And why it has to be so private? She was irritated now.

She got up from her chair completely ignoring those delicious food only to walk towards their direction to see the rude people who disturbed the lovely family private moment.

Gran was still talking to them.

Who are theses people? They looked like bodyguards with their black suits with walky talky. No matter who they were, they had no right to enter in their house like they owned it. Ever though they didn't enter but she was still angry.

She walked out of the house in front of them only to come face to face with those stupid guys. When she was just about to lecture them about their behavior but when they noticed her coming in front of them, they immediately vow down to her like she was some kind of Queen.

Watching their weird behavior made her anger go into confusion. Is that a way of apologizing in here? Maybe this is a new way of greeting someone new? Or maybe she was too outdated for this kind of communication?

Rose felt the needs to vow back to them but grandma stopped her.

"Who are you people?" Rose asked.

But they just kept quiet while there eyes were in the ground. Gran didn't want Rose to talk to them as she told her not to talk to them. Since she already knew them so she decided to ask her gran instead.

"What's wrong, gran? Is everything alright? Who are they?" She was so worried. And she felt something was not just right.

"Nothings wrong sweet, they came here from castle to notice me about our Lord's arrival, I have to go there to work for him, it was late do they came to inform me." She smiled.

"Lord?"

Grandmother smiled brightly at her curiosity face."Yes, Our Lord, he is a very respectful and powerful man in this entire country. Everyone admires him for his good works towards the poor people. He has a big heart. Everyone loves him."

Rose was a little bit surprise because of her praising him immensely. Her grandma looked like a fan girl right now. But she didn't understand that why her grandma was working for that man.

"Why do you have to work for him, grandma?" I was confused.

"I work in his palace, as a cook" she explained.

"Hmm, but gran I don't want you to work for him anymore, you are old now and you can't do this kind of heavy work. It's not good for your health." I was worried about her health.

"This is not how it works sweetheart, I have a lot of dept to pay. In fact it's the most easy with for my age. You know how I live cooking." She had this sad expression on her face.

"Dept?!" Rose ignored everything when she heard her talking about some dept. What was she talking about? She took money from that man?

"Yes, sweetheart. Before your parents died they left a huge dept on us. I didn't know how I was going to pay that money back. You were still so little, I also had no idea how I was going to raise you without any money. I had no work. I am old I can't work too much."

"When I lost hope, it was our Lord who come to our rescue, to save from dying because of hunger. He give me this beautiful house to live with you. And a lot of money to pay the dept, than he helped me to send you to a good school for your better education."

Listening to her grandma hard life, Rose felt bad, there must be a lot of dept. In order to live a comfortable life and raise her she took lots of money from him.

And he give it to her without hesitation, He did all of these things for them? But why? Why would anyone give someone they don't know lots of money just like that? What was his motive? What does he want from us?

Stop it, Rose! He was a kind and a very rich man who probably loves to help poor helpless people when they need help, how can you talk about him like that when he helped you!

Grandma continued, "But I couldn't take so much money just like that without giving him something in return." Grandmother didn't tell Rose what she promised to give Lord in return.

"So you started to work for him to pay back?"

Grandmother snapped out of her deep thought.

"Uh? Oh Yes, Sweetheart, it was so kind of him to let me work for him as a cook. Even though he had so many international experienced chief all around the world. But he still decided to keep me beside him just to make me feel better."

"How much money do you own him gran?" Rose couldn't help but ask.

"10 million dollar."

Rose gasp in surprise, it was so much money. How are we even going to pay this huge amount of money? Even if she worked for a life time she still will never be able to pay back that huge amount!

"But gran, why did you take so much money from him? We could have do something else. How are we going to pay so much money?"

"I spend the money for your education, I give so many depts, than we had no house to live in, we were literally in the road, homeless, it was kind of him to let us have our own home." She almost cried telly rose about their hard miserable life.

"Doesn't he ask you about the dept he give you? Why did he give us such a huge amount without taking anything precious grandma? I am confused" Rose really was confused by his kindness.

Can someone be this kind person without a reason?

Suddenly grandma looked a little angry as if she said something she should not have, but somewhat did she do now? All she wanted was to figure that man out. And his actual motives. Because in this world nothing comes for free. Everything has a price.

"He doesn't want money. He said it was just a help from him without taking anything from us. He is kind. Don't be ungrateful, Rose. Be more polite towards him!"

Grandmother was scolding her because of that man! Damn it! She liked him this much already! What is so great about that man?

Grandmother was a little angry with me because she talked about him disrespectfully while he basically saved their lifes. He helped them when they needed him the most with money. A lots of money.

Seeing her a little sad, grandma smiled gently while kissing her head.

"It's ok. I told you that he is so kindhearted man that the girl who will marry him would be the happiest woman of all. He is so mature and a gentle person who will love to have his own beautiful family."

Rose listened to her granddaughter words she couldn't help but laugh loudly because it looked like that man had clearly smitten her grandma completely.

Seeing her granddaughter giggling, she smiled too. "Sweety, you don't worry about it now go finish your food before it gets cold."

Rose hugged her grandma tightly. There is no way another person who is as lovelier as her grandma. She was tryly grateful for her love.

"Grandma, don't worry. Now that I am here I will take care of everything, all you will do now is rest and live in peace. No working too hard!" She promised her gran smiling brightly.

Grandmother smiled at her Rose proudly,"I know, baby. I will still have to meet Lord and do something for him. Darling, I will be back in a moment. You just relax, you must be really tired." She said while hurrying up.

"I want to go with you too. You will be tired working so hard. I want to help you as well, let me come with you as well."

"No, Rose. I don't do housecleaning, I just cook a little for him. So I am never tired. I just do what I love to do and that's cooking and you know it sweetheart."

"I am sorry gran, I was just worried but it looks like you really love your job. I am glad that he is a nice person to treat you with respect."

"No, it's ok sweety, I understand. It's just that you just came back from a very long journey, I don't want you to exhaust yourself more than you already have, just go to bad and rest, ok?" She had concern look in her face.

"Ok, you don't worry about me gran, just came back soon." Rose smilied more to reassure her gran.

"Ok sweety I will come back then we will talk."

"Ok, grandma be careful on your way to his home."

"Alright. You lock the door carefully. Do not let anyone inside until I come, ok?"

Rose smiled at her behaviour,"Grandma, you are getting late for your job!" She reminded her smiling.

Grandmother immediately left in a hurry.

After locking the door carefully, Rose sit in the dining table again. Eating delicious food made by her sweet grandma. She was in a hurry to finish it all and she did because she was still so hungry.

"Wow! After coming here I have really got a huge appetite for delicious food. I love being in home" Rose talked to herself while rubbing her stomach which was filled now.

She felt a little sleepy. After eating so much food than sleep is a work of a lazy person and she loved being a lazy kitten.

"I guess, I should unpack my bag first." With that she got up from the chair with great difficulty.

She immediately ran to her room feeling excited to see her childhood room. She wondered if her grandmother changed her room or not.

When she was a little child she loved pink now her taste had changed. She felt like it's too Barbie world and childish.

She opened the room and was surprised to see her new room. It was beautifully decorated. The colour of her room was light lilac. Wow! It truly looked so different from her childhood room. Her grandmother surely knew her taste so well.

And she loved it.

The room she spent her whole life staying in locked cause she never really liked going out.

Grandmother used to say it's danger outside and she used to believe her. But now Rose think she was just being a little protective over me. She always listed to her because she know grandma knows the best. But when she told her to go London to study, at first she was surprised and scared because how could she live without her? How will she survive?

But she really pressured her really hard to go there and live all by herself.

It was completely different for her as she didn't know what to do. And how to do everything perfectly. So, at first time she did struggled a lot. Eventually she got better in taking care of herself.

But she didn't know that going away from her living alone will teach how to be independent. And she was happy to be one of them. She had so many friends. She loved to spend her times with them.

Whenever grandmother made a life decision for me, she always obeyed them like a good girl. She was the perfect girl of my grandmother who had raised with so much love and care...

She know she always knows the best.

She look around it was the same as it was before. Small and sweet. She love my room. She love my home. Everything here makes feel so comfortable and calm.

"Thank, God! I decided to come back immediately after finishing my studies." It feels so good to be with gran.

She's my only family.

She quickly jumped into her comfy bad and lay down. Closing her eyes she took a deep breath. She felt soo tired after the long journey.

Taking a deep breath of her sweet fragrance of her room she slowly fall asleep...

When she woke up grandma was already home and was now making dinner. The dishes were decorated beautifully.

Getting up from her comfy bed. She decided to take a shower.

"Rose go fresh up, don't take too much time. I already made everything ready." Grandma shouted from the kitchen.

"Ok." She mumbled. She wanted to sleep more.

After a good long shower she felt much more relaxed now. While having delicious meal with her grandmother they just talked.

Everything was so good, Rose wished that it never ends....
