My name is Jeffrey and I am the one and only CEO of Gaming Pleasures Incorporated.
And this is the story of how I met my husband.
3rd person POV
GPI, Gaming Pleasures Inc., has been around for 5 years and has been beating every known gaming equipment.
However, within the four walls of GPI is Jeffrey, the CEO. He's not the type of boss that you could joke around with or eat lunch with.
With his heart solid as stone and cold as ice, none of his personal assistants could ever last the job.
At least that's what he thought.
One morning, his assistant, MJ, who was madly in love with him was stripping naked in his office as she professed her love for Jeffrey.
Jeffrey bored his eyes on her body and coldly called the guards on her. He didn't even bother to tell her to get dressed. As the guards took her away, he noticed some of her undergarments were still on the floor.
He made a face and kicked it out of his office.
"Sir? Should I send out new applicants?" his secretary, Jessica, said.
Jeffrey just gave her a quick nod and ushered her to work with his hand.
Jessica is 45 years old and has been working for Jeffrey for a year, and she is the longest to ever stay in the office. She tried everything to get him to warm up but obviously, that was not very successful.
Jessica's POV
Now that he's looking for a new personal assistant why don't I ask my nephew to try out for this job since he is a fresh graduate. This could be perfect but at the same time the worst first work experience he would have.
I immediately shot Kenneth, my nephew, a text message to let him know there is work available at GPI.
Kenneth is an orphan. His parents died in a car crash when he was just 3 years old. He was in the car with them, he saw how everything happened.
He didn't come out completely unscathed, despite surviving the crash. He had his skull cut open, and sometimes due to extreme emotions his head hurts and his nose bleeds.
The doctors said that there was nothing wrong with his brain that they could see, but… I'm not entirely sure they're telling the truth.
Ever since his parents died, I've been taking care of him. He's not hard to take care of, but his attacks are the ones I find it hard to deal with. The way he just screams every night. It's heartbreaking.
But we're coping and learning how to deal with it.
My phone vibrated, and I checked to see if it's Kenneth.
I got you, mom. I'm on my way! I'll just print out my resume. Love you!
I bet he didn't even want to go. He knows how Jeffrey can be, although he hadn't seen it for himself.
I wonder how he'll handle Jeffrey.
Kenneth's POV
I rushed to the building.
Time check: 9:30 am
I hope I'm not too late. I hurriedly fixed my things as I ran to the elevator. I pressed the designated floor number I was going to; 30.
The doors closed, and thank goodness there weren't many people in the elevator. I looked up at the numbers and watched them slowly approach 30.
I have to admit that I'm not exactly thrilled to be working here, but having this on my resume would be a big boost to applying to other jobs.
Just imagine if I managed to stay with him for years! Oh, what would other companies think!
I smiled to myself at the thought. Just a few years wouldn't hurt, right?
The elevator finally arrived at my floor. I calmed myself so I wouldn't be too much on my emotions. As the door opened I took a breath and stepped out.
I saw Jessica and quickly approached her.
As she had instructed me, I am to pretend that she is not my mom so nobody would think the interview is biased. She's also the one who is in charge of interviewing new P.A. assistants for Jeffrey.
"Hi, I was wondering where the-" I began to ask but got interrupted by a booming voice.
"I already told you that this contract is terminated. That company is not eligible to be a business partner to GPI! There are so many issues and misfits surrounding that company. Did you think I wanted that for MY company?" I'm assuming that was Jeffrey.
I looked at Jessica and she smiled sheepishly at me. Almost as if sorry to even offer this job to me.
I smiled back reassuringly.
"I can do this. You raised me well, mom!" I whispered at her.
She gave me a gentle pat on the back.
"Jessica… Coffee. Please." Jeff's voice came from the phone.
Jessica pressed a button and said, "Yes, sir. Also, your new assistant is here. Should I send him in?"
"Go," he replied.
"I'll go get his coffee and you go inside and hope he likes you," Jessica said as she ushered me into the office.
I took a deep breath and entered the office.
