“Lucas, Lucas!” The anxious shout alarmed the said servant as he rushed to the direction of the voice. Literally, any of the Jungs shouting his name twice always warned him but the anxious tone was just more than bad news. “Yes, junior Master?” Lucas asked as he reached Jaehyun's room where the latter was sitting in front of his laptop, aggressively tapping on the keys as if any software issue could be solved by being hard on the hardware. The man swifts his face from his desktop to his servant with an excessively stressed expression on his face. “What is up with the servers today? I've disconnected, reconnected, resettled the WiFi even but there's not a single glimpse of the network in my lappy. Neither on my phone.” Jaehyun grabs and starts checking on his cellphone as he makes his way to the outside of his room in an attempt to get a stable network. “I am not even able to make phone calls.” “Sorry Master but I was not aware of this. But I can assure that it could be some technical issue from the provider.” The servant reassured as the other man looked at him and he didn't look very convinced with the given answer. “And Mom hasn't asked you to contact the provider yet?” Jaehyun asked suspiciously and he probably already knew the answer. “Actually she would but seems she didn't–” “Did Mother ask you or not?” The interrupting question made the servant realize that there was no use of any excuse. “No.” “And why is that?” “Because she is not at home. She's been out since the late morning.” “And?” Jaehyun raises his eyebrow in a demanding way. And as demanded, “And she barred the servers biometrically so we'll be out of network until she comes back.” Exactly. Jaehyun didn't know how but he knew that his mother knew that he'd probably try to contact Haechan and spoil her plan in order to help the said man. The Jung Towers was literally an accommodation where everyone knew most probably anything and everything about each other yet still kept their act despite knowing that everyone is acting. Top tier actors of Korean entertainment industry for sure. “Does it mean that I need a ladyfinger to get the servers activated?” Lucas seemed to be thinking a little, figuring out the not so funny joke or a humored question or whatever that thing Jaehyun was tending. Once he got to get it after a bit of struggle, he stuttered, “Yeah. Yeah, a ladyfinger it is. We are also making it for dinner tonight.” He picks the vegetable from the tray he was holding and points it at the latter. Jaehyun literally seemed as if he was watching a low budget cringe comedy. “Wish to have some raw ones, Junior Master?” Neither Jaehyun nor Jessica liked the said vegetable so who ordered Lucas to pick that for dinner was excessively concerning but he has more important things to be concerned about. “Just back off to whatever in the world you were doing. Geez.” Lucas bows and nods politely before going back to his business. Jaehyun huffed and sighed in frustration as he loosened himself on the couch. First, the barred servers and now the ladyfingers in dinner. But still no idea as to what to do next. He could not just wait till his mother arrives since he had a feeling that something is gonna happen right today. Like, if he was fast to know, she was faster to act. Well, overall these things, at least one thing was interesting which was seeing his mother swallowing those veggies down her throat. Plus the extra drama of Lucas being scolded, which was actually usual. Could say even cliche, yet entertaining. ______ Alcohol is most likely one of the best things to chill out and is Haechan's all time energizer besides Jaehyun and Officer Moon. But this time wasn't like all the other times. This time was not just a chilling or relaxing session. This was a relief. A permanent relief from the sickening bars of Jessica. Relief from the extreme m******e and misery. He didn't want to waste it like a wasted hangover night by absorbing the drops of alcohol. He rather wanted to just live this moment fully conscious and contentedly. And for the contentment, nothing can be better than the warm and flavored caffeine. Especially the ones that are made at home but since he wasn't really good at cooking, yes, even a cup of coffee, he was here, lurking through the town in the fresh air of busy streets. But that was another thing he wasn't so pleased with. He didn't want to visit some outlet in the middle of the residential or industrial area. He wanted it to be as peach and calm as it could be. And so he kept walking and walking. Besides, walking freely and calmly for no reason was fun. After a few moments of walking and wandering, he reached a place which seemed more like empty woods. Though there were more shops and people like any normal area of town but still the environment was way soothing than the ones he just went through. And there was a coffee shop as well. “My type of place. Perfect.” Haechan speaks to himself as he makes his way to the coffee shop. He entered inside while fixing his glasses and mask and there were not many people. Probably because not many people knew about this place just like himself, which was good news though. Not that he didn't know but because the others didn't. “Welcome to our cafe, Sir.” Haechan looked up at the cheerful woman and offered a smile as he purred, “Thank you so much, Miss. Is this a new cafe in town?” The lady shakes her head as she answers, “Oh no, no. We've been here for a while now. It's just, not many people are aware of our shop as it's not in the marketed streets. But I can assure you that our beverages and snacks are no less than any famous outlet there.” The statement makes Haechan crackles a slight laughter. “Well, gems are always hidden under the coal, no?” He jokes and both of them start chuckling as the woman motions Haechan to take a seat. She then presents the menu for the man. Haechan confirms his order and she excuses herself for the meantime. Haechan springs his phone out as he waits for his meal. There were random pings from random underworld aliases. Well, former aliases. And then random girls and gays offering themselves to him. From where do they even get his contact information? But not a single notification from Jessica. And not even Jaehyun? This was strange. Was Jaehyun mad at him? But he clearly knew that it was his mother Haechan hated and not him. Maybe he was mad because Haechan didn't even explain him once before actually leaving. But it's not like he's vanished or something. He for sure will meet and keep his friendship with Jaehyun. “Maybe I should just call him. Hope he's just not with his bitchy mother right now.” He starts calling his number and waiting for the ring to go through but the automated voice informed that the other line is out of network. Okay. Now something was really not right. Knowing both of the Jungs too well was just enough to know that this situation is concerning. And so he was disturbed, despite this day was supposed to be entirely peaceful and free. It was his first ever normal day, his first ever normal moment. “Apologies for ruining your moment but, may I sit here if you don't mind?” Oh! More customers. Well, having a new life, new time in a new way then interacting new people would just be win win, no? “Yeah sure. And no, you didn't really ruin my moment, rather made it our moment.” Haechan replies politely and shifts a little even though there was enough space for a person to sit. Though, what surprised Haechan was that it was nott only one new customer, but there was another person, a woman who took a seat in front of him. And the even more obvious thing was a group of new customers entering inside out of the blue as if they've been waiting for Haechan to have a meal here and give his review so that they could also follow the suit. Or maybe they were just following him and him only for god knew what reasons. Or maybe Haechan somehow already started sensing the reasons. And so the thing that was yet to come. “But you don't really seem pleased with acknowledging our presence I see.” The lady in front speaks while smiling, mockingly of course. Haechan watches the people sitting on different tables. As if they were surrounding him in the act. Which they probably were. “Oh no, no. I don't think so. He just said that it's our time.” The previous man clarifies as he smiles innocently at Haechan. Well, whether they were actually innocent or iniquitous, one thing was confirmed for Haechan. Interacting with new people is not always good. “And so we should spend it together in peace. Right, Don?” There was a moment of silence after that sentence spoken by the man. The duo on Haechan's table were looking at him suspiciously. Haechan chuckles for the first time ever since these suspicious people's arrival as he says, “Peace… Of course.” And not after even a second, the table in the center flew in the air and the duo were stunned for a moment because of the sudden act occurred by Haechan's kick. When the duo collect themselves and get into the act, the woman raises her gun and aims it at Haechan which he avoids. He snatched the pistol from the lady and surprisingly it was a bit easier to do than expected. But good for him since he could easily get off from this situation. He aimed the gun back at the woman and she looked terrified. He pulled the trigger but the gun did not release any bullet. He tried again and it just wouldn't work. There were no bullets. He raises his brows and looks at the lady who was laughing dramatically. This didn't sound so good. Nor the thing she said afterwards. “Who wouldn't want to be the killer of Don, no? But we weren't paid bucks for killing you, you know.” Oh… Crap! A smack on Haechan's jaw brought him back to the event and he looked at the man unimpressively. He swifts the body of the weapon and hits the latter with it, which made him break down on the ground. “What are you all fuckers doing? Get him!” The woman yelled at the fellow henchmen and they started barring around Haechan. One of the henchmen attacks on him with his rod but fails when Haechan grips on it and pulls the man over which makes him fall down. He then used the rod to defend and attack but it accidently hit a chair, causing damage to both chair and the rod. He tosses the broken parts away and gets another chair to use as a weapon. He knocked two girls through the chair's legs before setting it on the floor. He grips on the armrest and swifts his legs back and forth, propelling the muggers off. It did seem for a second as if all them were knocked out but there was still one of them. Standing all guard up and conscious. The lady whom Haechan now assumed to be their leader. And not only that, she was also holding a combat knife, a very sharp one, dangerously. “I mean, having a few slashes on your skin won't entirely kill you. Besides, I would love to have my hands stained with Don's blood.” She says as she slides her fingertips on the shining blade soothingly. “I mean…” Haechan voices as he starts walking towards the latter. And his sultry tone was already getting over the lady. “The slashes won't kill me for sure but your slashing beauty is already killing me. What do I do about this?” He slides his hand around her waist while his other hand goes to the table next to them, grabbing the seasoning bottle. The woman almost seemed to be losing on her knees in pleasure but Haechan wasn't finished there. He roams his hand through her bra lines as if to untie them. “And I would also love to have you have stains but not on your hands but rather…” The lady closes her eyes as their lips were so close to seal a kiss. However… “Bloody motherfucker! My freaking eyes!” The woman rages while muscling her burning eyes helplessly. Haechan snatches the knife from her and knocks her off through the holding base. “Women.” Well, there was no lie. Most of the ladies didn't dream of being Haechan's hookup for money or power but rather his excessively hypnotizing aura. Despite knowing that the man could pool them with blood they desperately invited him to their bedroom which was unfortunately, politely declined always. He starts pulling the knife inside his jacket but stops and sighs before stabbing it on one of the tables' edge. He slid his shirt sleeve a little to look at the retriever and as expected, the cops were raiding the area. They were tracking the area. They were legitimately informed. Informed by none other than, “Jung.” Talking of Jung, the retriever that Haechan was using was provided by Jessica along with many other stuff at his hideout. As well as his beloved friend, Jaehyun for which he was really thankful of the lady and he would really love to return the favor by sending her to heaven. Though, fingers crossed for the word heaven. And now talking of hideout, he must get back there securely since not only cops, but Jessica's minions were also there to ruin his normal livelihood. Besides, knowing that something was up with Jaehyun was also concerning him and he must confront Jessica and end all this fuss up for the sake of his mental health. “Your order– Oh my f*****g lord!” Haechan turned his head towards the voice's direction and the horrified look at the cafe's staff was priceless. Haechan smiled at her while reaching her side and tossing his hand inside his pocket. “Don't worry, Miss. Me and the pals were just having a moment of peace together. Please charge the bills along with all this mess.” He places his credit card on the meal tray she was holding. Haechan starts settling himself to exit but stops for another moment and glances back at the latter in a concerning expression. “And it's really not good to make your customers wait this long for their orders, Miss. By the way, I had a good time over here. Thank you for your service.” After the advice, the man disappeared and the lady was way too shocked with the entire scenario. She landed her eyes on the card and it was a freaking platinum card. Was he an angel or a devil? Either way, he was a valuable customer and she better value the feedback given by him.
