The Heartbreak
Kirby's PoV
"Are you jealous of Callie?" I asked Jana.
"Yes, I am. I've been by your side for the longest time. And now... what am I now? You'll throw me away just like that?"
I put my hand on my forehead, as if my head was aching. I can't believe that Jana actually could say that.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know that Kirby had a girlfriend," Callie said.
I shook my head in disbelief. When did I ever have a girlfriend?
"Kirby never mentioned you in any of his letters."
"Callie, she's my friend."
That's all I can say. I'm telling her the truth anyway/ I don't have to defend myself. Why am I caught up in an awkward situation like this?
