Chapter 9 Sunday went as it always did in Tony’s life when he wasn’t embroiled in writing. He ate breakfast, read, fixed lunch, and then watched a ballgame—mainly because he found baseball to be mindless but somehow relaxing entertainment. After eating supper, he changed from his grungies into jeans and a green button-down over a T-shirt then headed to the club. Since the place was busy for a Sunday, he trekked to the bar to get a beer before trying to locate the guys—if they were there. As he approached the bar he saw Kirk talking to two young men who, in Tony’s opinion, didn’t look old enough to be allowed inside, to say the least of drinking the beers they were holding.
