Fedel and Dr. Linda ascended to the penthouse, Fedel's gaze fixed upon Linda, ensuring her silence before Alyssa.
As Linda gingerly removed the dressing from the wound, her keen eyes detected a sinister development: infection had taken hold, threatening to compromise the delicate balance.
“The wound is infected” she mumbled.
In an instant, Alyssa asked, “Is she going to be okay?”
“She will be once I take out what’s causing the infection.” She replied.
She recognized the stern expression etched upon Fedel's face, a silent admonition to maintain her discretion.
