It was barely eight A.M. the following day when Kade put his suitcase in the trunk of Dante’s car, closed the lid, and got into the passenger seat, saying as he did, “Are you sure we’re not forgetting anything?” “We’re only planning on being there for a few days if that. What do we need other than clothes?” Kade shrugged. “Probably nothing. It just feels like I’m missing something.” “I suspect it’s because we might be moving up there, even though we haven’t totally committed to it, yet.” “True.” Kade chuckled. “So we don’t need to bring along all the furniture and what have you until we do.” Dante laughed. “Exactly.” A little over three hours later, they were parked across the street from a large, rambling house set on what Kade thought was about a third of an acre of land. “Impress
