THIRD PERSON'S POV:- The hall of throne filled with shocked whispers and the Alpha of the council announced prince Isaac to be the next king of the Scarlet kingdom. "What the f**k! Have you lost your f*****g mine, old man? I am my father's successor. I have always been his successor. He trained me to be the king. It's my birthright. You can't take it away from me." Prince David yelled at the Alpha member of council angrily. "Prince David! You can't talk to the Alpha member of council in such a poor manner." Mr Robinson yelled at Prince David angrily. Prince David gritted his teeth. He was about to open his mouth when the Alpha member of council raised one of his hands. The hushed whispers died as everyone saw Alpha member of council's hand. "Prince David, in front of you and the whole royal family, I just read the will that your father left in my hands. And it clearly said that your father's successor is Prince Isaac, not you." Alpha member of the council growled at Prince David but he kept his cool. He was the king's representative. He couldn't let his emotions come in the way. "Then you changed his will. You never liked me from the beginning, old man. There is no way my father would leave my loser brother as his successor." Prince David yelled again at the Alpha member of council, disrespecting him again in front of the king's council and the royal family. The alpha member of council felt anger bubbling up inside of him like cooking lava as he heard Prince David accusing him falsely. The alpha member of the council was about to yell at Prince David when, suddenly, prince Isaac stood up from his chair. "That's enough! I came here just to attend my father's funeral and to support my brother. Once it's done, I'm out of here. No matter what's written in the will. I don't want to become the king." Prince Isaac told his decision to the members of council in a firm tone. Without waiting for anyone's response, Prince Isaac walked away. Mr Robinson sighed in a disappointed way, as he had expected this much from Prince Isaac after everything he had been through. "You heard, ma boy! Now that he is out of the way, the throne is mine. Now, let's get over with the coronation ceremony." Prince David spoke as he walked towards the throne. Before Prince David could set a foot at the throne stone, a loud howl made him fall on his knees. "This was the last time you tried that stunt, Prince David. I can bear anything, but I won't forgive the disrespect towards the throne. It was never yours, it will never be yours." the Alpha member of council yelled at Prince David, reminding him of his place. "Robinson!" the Alpha member of council yelled. The very next moment, Mr Robinson stepped forward and bowed his head in front of the alpha member of council. "By tonight, Prince Isaac must take the oath or the council has the authority to kick the royal family out of the palace. The responsibility is yours now." Alpha member of council ordered Mr Robinson firmly. Mr Robinson bowed his head in response and walked away. Right after that, the Alpha member of council dismissed the council meeting. ---------------- Mr Robinson entered the ICU and found Prince Isaac standing by the bed of the woman he had brought with him. "I knew I would find you here or at your father's grave. I looked at your father's grave first." Mr Robinson spoke as he approached Prince Isaac. Prince Isaac didn't flinch, nor did he pay any attention to whatever Mr Robinson just said. "If you are here to persuade me to accept, there is no way. You are wasting both of our time." Prince Isaac spoke angrily as he dropped on the chair that was placed beside the bed. "It's your father's decision, my Prince. You know that your father was a wise man. He never did anything without a solid reason behind it." Mr Robinson spoke in an annoyed tone. Prince Isaac felt anger bubbling up inside his chest. "What was he thinking when he decided to make me his successor? Did he want us brothers to fight? After years of praise from David, he named me as his successor. Why?" Prince Isaac asked Mr Robinson angrily. He couldn't think of another reason why his father would try to ignite a fight between two brothers. "There have been a few shady things your brother was involved with. That's why your father changed his will about a week ago. I was there when he changed his will." Mr Robinson informed Prince Isaac in a low tone, trying to keep his voice down so no one else would hear them. Prince Isaac frowned in confusion as he heard the reason Mr Robinson gave him. "What shady things?" Prince Isaac asked Mr Robinson out of curiosity. "I am not sure. I just know that your father fought with your brother for the same reason," Mr Robinson replied to Prince Isaac in a low tone. Prince Isaac growled in annoyance, as he didn't want to have that kind of responsibility on his shoulders. "I never wanted to be the king. It's such a big responsibility. You know, I never wanted this." Prince Isaac argued with Mr Robinson helplessly. "If I had known this would happen, I wouldn't have come back here even to bury my father." Prince Isaac added in a low tone, cursing his fate within his heart. "I know, my prince. But then again, your father never wanted it as well. He used to say that the throne chooses its successor. This time, the throne has chosen you." Mr Robinson spoke, patting his shoulder. Prince Isaac growled in annoyance. "Leave me alone. I need to think about it." Prince Isaac growled at Mr Robinson. It was all too much for him. "Alright, but remember. Alpha member of council wants to hear your decision by tonight." Mr Robinson added as he walked away, leaving him alone in the hospital along with the woman that saved his life. --------------- Prince Isaac was sleeping on the chair of the ICU. He was snoring peacefully. A shadow covered Prince Isaac from behind. Something sharp was shining in front of that shadow. It was a sword. The man standing behind prince Isaac raised his hand. The sword was about to touch Prince Isaac's neck when, all of a sudden, something white, wrapped around both of his hands. The man looked at the woman in the bed. She was now awake, glaring at the man who dared to get closer to Prince Isaac. Her hair suddenly growled silver and the man shrieked loudly in pain. The sword in his hands melted down, falling on the ground like lava. Prince Isaac jolted up as he heard the shriek. He looked around and found a man being strangled by the long hair of the woman he had brought him. Yet again, she saved his life. Before he could understand what was happening, Prince Isaac's attacker started melting. His screams filled the hospital and terrorized everything that was around. Royal guards entered the ICU. Some stepped out immediately, throwing up as they saw a whole man melted in front of them. A few passed out. And a few were able to bear the horrific scene in front of them. Mr Robinson entered the ICU and looked at Prince Isaac. "What happened here? Who is this man? Why was he here?" Asked Mr Robinson as he also looked at the burned skeleton in front of him. Prince Isaac looked at the woman. To his surprise, her eyes were closed again. He placed his hand on her head and gently stroked her hair. "Mr Robinson, call the council meeting immediately. I have made up my mind." Prince Isaac announced loudly as he grabbed her hand and pulled it closer to his mouth. "Whatever the Prince says!" Mr Robinson said as he walked away. The guards began to clean up the mess. "Thank you for saving me again, my Angel." Prince Isaac whispered softly as he placed a soft kiss at the back of her hand. --------------- "I, Prince Isaac Lucanthus, swear upon the name of my Goddess, to protect, care and love the Scarlet kingdom. To cherish the people as my own children, and to protect them with my life." Isaac took the oath to take over the throne, as decided by his own father. "I, Alpha member of council of the scarlet kingdom, now pronounce you, the king of the scarlet kingdom, the ruler of the lycanthrope kingdom, by the grace of Goddess Selene." Alpha councilman announced as he placed the crown of the scarlet kingdom on Isaac's head. The alpha member of council turned around to look at the crowd in front of him. "Long live King Isaac Lucanthus!" Alpha member of council announced loudly. "LONG LIVE KING ISAAC LUCANTHUS!" Everyone inside the hall of throne, praised loudly their new king. In the corner of his eye, king Isaac was watching his brother. The grim look on his brother's face made him growl in his chest. Ignoring his brother, king Isaac walked forward. He stepped out on the balcony. He raised his wand in the air and the crowd started cheering: "LONG LIVE KING ISAAC LUCANTHUS! LONG LIVE KING ISAAC LUCANTHUS! LONG LIVE KING ISAAC LUCANTHUS! LONG LIVE KING ISAAC LUCANTHUS!"
