She was a tough female, and no one could tell her what to do. I just had to make sure to shield her from any potential threats as we approached the door. I slowly opened it, glancing back at her before stepping inside, my eyes scanning the room and my gun at the ready in case of any intruders. Then I spotted a tall, dark figure in a suit at the end of the bar. He had already poured himself a drink and sat there calmly, waiting for us to notice him.
