Noah's POV
I have no idea where Chris plans on taking me, but I am excited. It's been awhile since just the two of us hung out. I mind linked Alice and my parents to let them know that I'll be out. I wouldn't want to worry them if they couldn't find me in the pack house.
I can't help but think of Violet. I hope she's okay. She's never been away from us and now she's surrounded by wolves who are strangers to her. Maybe I'll go visit her tomorrow, or would that be too soon? Ugh. I'll wait a week or two.
I take one last glance at myself before meeting up with Chris. Hopping into the car, Chris gives the driver the address of wherever it is we are heading to. I talk with my best friend while staring out the window, trying to guess what he is up to.
I get my answer when we reach the city part of the human territory. Lights are flashing and music is blasting out of the night club called The Beast. It's a gay club ran by werewolves, but the humans don't know this. Obviously.
I stare at Chris in disbelief. "Really?" I ask, and he starts laughing. "Come on, let's party!" Chris is the furthest thing away from a party person, so I found this amusing. Reaching the doors, the bouncer is a wolf from a neighboring pack. Nodding his head in recognizing who we are, he allowed us inside. Even though we are not 18.
This is not how a future Beta should be acting, but then again, I'm not Beta yet. One night out won't do any harm. Chris nudges me and gestures to follow him to the bar. Being a wolf, it's almost impossible to get drunk, so I wasn't concerned of acting a fool like some of these humans in here. Plus, it's not like we are driving home, so that's a plus.
As we hop onto the stools, Chris orders us six shots each. When the bartender looks at me skeptical, it must be because I look young. Even though I'm older than Chris, he looks more mature than I do. Yet, the bartender doesn't question me and pours the alcohol. He is hot as hell and I feel a bit bummed when he looks away from me.
"Here's to a lifetime of friendship!" Chris holds his first shot glass up to me and we clink them together before throwing it down. Burns my throat, but I like the pain. After the six, Chris jumps off his stool and holds his hand out to me. I can't help the loud laughter I let out.
I take his hand and he leads me to the dance floor. Seeing him dance is the funniest thing EVER! I now remember why he doesn't like to go to parties. I join his goofy ass anyway because I'm finding myself having fun. I can hear guys around us cracking up and joining in with the horrible dance moves my friend is making up.
After awhile, a slow song comes on. Awkward. I was about to head back to the bar when Chris stopped me. "You're not getting away that easy." He smirks, clearly up to something. Knowing that there is no use in arguing, I let him embrace me and we sway to the music. He begins to twirl me around and when I stop, I'm in the arms of some random, yet sexy, man. That clever bastard.
I can tell by his sense, that he is also a wolf. We continue to sway together when he leans in closer to my ear. "You are by far, the hottest man I have ever seen." I feel my face burning up. I want to tell him the same, but that would be a lie. In my opinion, the hottest man in this place is the bartender. "How about we leave this place and you can show me how much of a beast you truly are." He winks at me and I know exactly what he is hinting at.
I'm silent as I think of what to say. Do I want to leave with this man, whose name I don't even know? Instead of my answer, he receives a punch to the face by none other than bartender.
"DUDE, WHAT THE f**k!" The man I was dancing with yells. This is now causing everyone to circle around and watch the scene unfold. Chris is quick to be by my side and asks if I'm okay. Bartender whispers something in his ear, but even with my wolf hearing, I wasn't able to pick up what was said.
"WHAT ARE YOU ALL LOOKING AT?" Bartender yells, causing some people to look away and go back to what they were doing. Others continued to stare. He catches my eyes and I can't look away. I could get lost in those beautiful green orbs. Once again, he's the one to turn away first and walk back to the bar.
"Bro, what the hell happened?" Chris asks and I answer honestly. "I have no idea, but let's call it a night." Apparently my words were left on deaf eyes. My hand is pulled back to the bar and Chris orders another round of shots. This time, we are refused the drinks.
"Excuse you?" He sneers at the bartender. Oh no. Please, not another fight. "It's fine, let's go Chris." He looks angry and I already know that he's not going to back down. Rose is going to kill me if her son gets into trouble. I can't risk him losing his cool and unleashing his wolf. Especially in a place with humans around us.
"You heard me." Bartender replies coolly. I watch as my friend leans in closer. "Listen here, Alex." I guess he was reading his name tag. Alex fits him perfectly. "You already served us once, so why not again?" Letting out a sigh, Alex is clearly trying to keep calm. "I think you know why. I shouldn't have served you at all."
Others around the bar were watching us curiously. Nosey little fuckers.
"Come on. We can continue the party at home. Violet wouldn't want this." I hated using her as an excuse, but I needed to get him out of here.
"Did you say Violet?" Bartender asked.
