The Push and the Pull

Andy was back to being… well, Andy. The day after everything happened, I thought maybe he’d check in, or give me some kind of sign that things had changed between us. That maybe we were—what? Friends? Acquaintances? Something more than the two people who used to argue over every little thing?
But no. He didn’t say a word. Instead, he did what he did best: he ignored me.
Not in the “pretending I don’t exist” kind of way, but in that infuriating “you’re invisible until I decide to notice you” kind of way. The same way he always had.
