THE REBELLIOUS MATE

CHAPTER TWO

I quickly run off to the forest near the school as I saw others doing the same, I am sure that is where he shifted.

Without waiting for am invitation, I slid through the crowd and walk to the front and there he was, so magnificent.

So beautiful.

His wolf is back with a steak of white at the end of his tail and around his eyes.

This just couldn't get more perfect.

I'm sure the goddess will soon realize who my real mate is and then rectify all this.

Just like how strong he is as a human, he is still as strong in his wolf form.

He circles the ground twice before leaping to the sky and all cheered.

I am sure it's just a show off but he still looked good going it.

Did I mention that he is the upcoming school jock.

I mean, he would certainly be one when we reach our senior year and so, almost half the school were there to see him shift.

Just seeing how others were admiring him made me feel proud.

I slowly pushed away from the crowd as an idea popped into my head.

I rushed away behind a tree and strip off my clothes.

I don't have any to change into if I shift and then, there would be a problem.

I've never shifted at school till today and I don't think there's any other perfect day to do so.

I slowly allowed my wolf to take over and I could hear my bones restructuring and breaking to fit into the shape of a wolf.

After I have finished shifting, I slowly got away from the tree and headed for the crowd, hoping he would notice my wolf.

Luna on the other hand, doesn't seem psyched about it.

As I headed for the crowd, they all gave me way, gasping.

"Oh my goodness, it's white" some commented.

"And it's huge as well" another added.

"I've never seen anything like it before, some said that white wolves are the descendants of the goddess herself" others whispered.

Did I mention that no one at school has ever seen me shift.

I mostly do my shifting at home, indoors.

Mom said it's safer.

I still don't know why.

I ignored them all and marched over to him, smiling in anticipation.

I don't know if wolves can smile but I knew I was smiling at that moment.

His wolf just stood there, as if he was transfixed or something.

As I inches closer to him, I realized that it was my wolf that scared him as it was a bit bigger than his and also again, 'because I am white'.

All people's attention turned to me and they were all wondering who it could be.

I could feel him whimper from me taking away his attention and that made me feel bad.

I just wanted us to share this moment together, that's all.

I slowly walked over to him and placed my forehead on his.

It is a gesture of apology and then I turned away and ran into the forest.

I turned into my human form and I could all see them staring where I just left.

Why can't they just forget me and focus on him.

He is the one who has just recently shifted.

I really didn't know I would divert their attention to me and that made me feel bad, real bad.

What if he refuses to be with me when he found out?., I couldn't help but wonder.

No, I'm sure he wouldn't do that,he is such a nice guy.

And like a thought, in a few minutes, they were all praising him again as he showed them all the new things he can do with his wolf.

I hid there for what seemed like forever and then I heard the principal asking them all to go back to their respective classes which meant break was over.

I stood up to get away but then I heard him approaching.

I quickly hid and he walks behind the tree I was hiding.

I had to literally hold my breath when he was shifting because I don't want him to think that I'm stalking him.

Plus, I am also naked.

Thanks goddess that I can mask off my scent, else he would have smelled me out with his heighten sense.

I could see that he is still having a hard time shifting by the way he was groaning in pain.

I could still remember I had to be bedridden after my first shift.

But it gets easier as you continue to do so.

Soon, he was out of his hiding place and was on his way back into the school.

He still looks as handsome as always.

I feel like running over and hugging him right now.

'Hey girl, get your head out of the gutter' Luna warned.

Yeah, as if.

"Oh Benson it's you, I see you have shifted, congrats, I'll expect to see you at the training grounds then" the principal congratulates him.

I didn't hear his response as they were getting farther away from my hearing range.

I quickly rush out from my hiding place and head to the tree that I had kept my clothes.

Putting them on quickly, I head to the class.

Luckily, I got in before the teacher.

"Yeah, it's huge, but not as huge as the Alpha's son, did you remember when he shifted the other at school, he was so huge that he stood my height at the time" some girl close to me whispers to another close to her.

"Yes, and he was so silky black, I felt like caressing him with my hand, but I was scared of how enormous he was" the other whispered back.

I just rolled my eyes at their conversation.

If only they knew how cold hearted he was.

Luckily, the teacher walked in and spared me of their conversation.

"Good afternoon class, today we are going to discuss about the history of how the supernatural and the humans came to exist together" he said.

This is going to be a very long lectures.

Later in the evening

We were all sitting in the dining room, having dinner.

I just couldn't escape myself out of this one band could you imagine it, I was sitting right opposite him.

I had to force myself to not look up through out the whole meal so as not to meet eyes with him.

Oh goddess! Why did you have to make it all hard on us.

We used to be the best siblings but now, everything's awkward between us.

I don't know for him, but everything is awkward for me.

After dinner, we all say down to chat, as usually do.

I wanted to skip that part and so, I got up, but that all made me fall into their radar.

"Where do you think you are going now dear?" Mom asks.

That's it, I am doomed, she will make me sit through all those torturous hours.

"Uhmm, Mom, I'm just feeling sleepy" I lied and fake yawned.

"Well, actually, I wanted to talk to you about something important" she says with all her seriousness.

I felt my heart skip a beat and I looked up at him.

I just hope he hasn't gone and broadcasted it to all.

I had no other choice but to seat back down, praying it would all be over soon.

"I was told that you had shifted today in school, haven't we talked about that?" she starts.

I had to release a heavy sigh that I didn't even know I was holding.

Thank goodness.

"It's just this one time and nobody knew it was me, I was out of there in no time" I tried to defend myself.

"By the way, how did you even know?" I ask.

"There aren't many white wolves around you know, they were all talking about it in the hospital" she answers back.

"I think it's all over the pack, I also heard it too" Aunty K says, trying to fuel the fire.

"But..."

"Dear, we've all talked about this, you shouldn't be showing off your wolf, as it is, you mates haven't started shifting" she cuts me off.

"Uhmm, actually, they have" I corrected.

"Yeah, I heard that a guy from the 10th grade shifted today" Katrina cuts in.

"Ok, but that still doesn't mean you should be shifting everywhere as well and as far as I can remember, shifting isn't allowed in schools anymore" mom still argued.

"By the way, why did you shift just because a guy did?" she asks.

I dropped my head and blushed as I have no answer for them now.

How am I supposed to tell them he is going to be their future son in-law soon.

"Oh! Someone has a crush" Katrina teased.

A growl came from nowhere and we all lifted to see that it was Abraham.

His eyes are also dark in colour now, which means his beast is taking control.

Oh my goodness! What if he spills the beans.

"Are you already dear, what's wrong?" Finally, Mom's attention was deviated from me.

It took him a few minutes to calm down.

"It's ok Aunt, I've been having this crises fir the past few months, I just can't seem to control them all now" he says.

"Yeah, they are really hard to control" Aunty K says, glaring at Uncle Adrien for no reason.

He cleared his throat and we all turned to him.

"Actually, I wanted to make this announcement a bit later, but let me just do it now" he starts.

He was silent for a bit and then he spoke after all the suspense.

"I've decided that Abraham will be leaving this pack..."

"What do you mean he'll be leaving the pack?" Aunty K interrupts him.

Only she can do that and live to tell the tale.

She is the Luna after all.

And also the Queen of the Fairies.

And his only weakness, that's I heard.

I can't Imagine my mate being my weakness.

I just couldn't help but look over at him and he was coincidentally looking at me and so, I quickly averted my eyes.

"Calm down dear, what I mean to say is, he will be going to the same college that I did, o know it's too far, but they have all the expertise there to help him control his powers, maybe even more than I did and I want him to be the greatest Alpha there is, that is why I am making this decision" he explains.

We were all silent afterwards, as if he as already left and the room was all gloomy without him.

"But when will he be back?" Dad asks.

"When he's ready" that's the only answer he gave.

It was late in the night, around twelve o'clock.

I slowly walked out of my room and tiptoed down the corridor to Abraham's room.

After all the emotional talk in which uncle announced he would he leaving tomorrow itself, we all left to bed to get up early for that.

But I just couldn't get myself to sleep and so, I had to do it tonight itself.

I just can't wait any longer.

I slowly knocked on his door once but he didn't answer and I tried again, this time a little harder.

I was afraid it was going to wake up the whole house but it didn't.

At least it woke him up.

"You!" He said, stirring fully awake after seeing.

"What do you want?" he asks.

I ignored him and walk past, into the room and my arm brushed him slightly and I felt the electric surge once again, but I ignored it.

"So you're leaving tomorrow" I said, having no idea how to start.

"Apparently" he answers back, sitting on his bed.

His hair looks so messy right now, that must be because he was just sleeping.

That's when I noticed he was only wearing boxers and all his body was exposed.

Not that I haven't seen it before, but it feels so different.

"I think we have unfinished business" I said, ignoring his Roman God sculptured physique.

"What do you want us to do then?" he asks in a bored tone.

Obviously he is still sleepy.

"I want us to get is over with" I answer.

"How?"

"Let us..."
