When Keira suddenly left for the washroom, I got confused. I regretted asking those questions when I clearly knew the answers to them. There was pain in her eyes when I bought all those topics up, I should've seen it before and I should've controlled my words. Keira's past was broken and she didn't want to talk about it to anyone.
The waitress came up to me and I motioned her to take everything. She cleaned up and left. I waited for Keira to return and she finally came back. I could clearly make out that she had cried, her mascara was smeared underneath her eyes, her eyes were slightly red and puffy.
"Are you okay?" I asked with concern.
She smiled back, "Yes, I'm fine. Let's go,"
We returned back to my car and she quietly sat inside without saying a singl
