"She is more stubborn than your daughter." Aron snarled in frustration. He was ashamed to admit it in front of his father that he had lost to a child.
Aron had never thought that his niece will be a carbon copy of his sister when it will come to the war of wills.
"She's a mere child Aron. Tell me how could she fight against a well-reputed hospital alone?" Simon asked calmly but his eyes were anything but calm.
"A human helped her. He had sued the hospital." Aron said while gulping his glass of whiskey in one go, relishing the feel of alcohol burning his throat.
"Throw some money at them, Aron. I want my daughter free of pain. There is nothing money can't buy in the human world." Simon told Aron in a calm yet fierce tone. Simon wanted his daughter out of pain, it's the least he could do after what he had done two years ago.
"Money couldn't help dad. She had targeted the image of the hospital. If anything happened to Amelia, she is going to destroy the hospital." Aron tried to reason with his father.
"How is that possible? How could a mere child has so much power?" This time there was frustration in Simon's voice.
"She is clever. She had started a campaign against the hospital. Amelia's face is plastered on every newspaper along with her daughter's. Your granddaughter has the hospital management by their balls." Aron grunted but there was an underlying admiration in his tone.
"Try bribing the human who is helping her." Simon advised.
"You think I haven't tried that already?" Aron scoffed. "He threw the money at my face. The bastard is a loyal one."
Simon pulled at his own hair. He was seeing his doom right in front of his eyes.
The past was catching up to him really fast that he was having a hard time comprehending his next move. Simon knew that he can't lose, too much was at stake.
"Then it seems like my granddaughter had left us no choice. It's time that we bring her where she truly belongs." Simon gave a hollow laugh.
Like mother like daughter~
25 years ago his daughter had fought him to save a human and now after 25 years, that human's daughter was fighting him to save her mother.
The irony~
It seemed like they were running in a circle. It was such a shame that his granddaughter was going to end up just like her mother.

"I am going in to try all these dresses, Connor. Just wait here." Amanda kissed his cheek before heading towards the trial room.
Her deer shaped eyes were gleaming with happiness.
Everything was perfect~
It was just how the Prince of Lycans wanted it to be but then why couldn't he forget those enticing hazel eyes who had looked at him like they were able to peek into his soul. As if they could see his darkest secrets. As if those eyes knew him better than himself.
Those hazel eyes who had stared at him as if asking for help.
Connor shook his head violently, there was no place for her in his life. He was better off her.
But then why did he feel so incomplete without her?
Why did he long to be with her?
Why did his heart ache without her?
Lost in the thoughts of those mesmerizing hazel eyes, Connor started wandering aimlessly around the mall.
When he strolled near a bookstall his eyes caught the sight of those hazel eyes again.
Connor halted in his steps.
He did a double-take but damn he wasn't dreaming. It wasn't just a fragment of his imaginations.
She was really there~
His soulmate's face was actually plastered on magazines. He picked up one magazine in haste.
She was standing with a woman in the picture, laughing without a care. Her brunette hair was a mess, her face was bare of any makeup. She looked far from perfect but for him, she was a woman with unmatchable beauty. She looked so young in the picture. The picture must be taken a few years ago.
Coming out of his spellbound state when he read the quote above the picture an involuntarily growl escaped from his lips. 'A daughter fighting alone against the money-hungry shark for her mother's life.'
The prince of Lycan's eyes flashed golden. His beast was so close to the surface.
The temptation of protecting his soulmate ruled his mind.
"Connor! There you are. Let's go we had to head back now." Connor abruptly dropped the magazine from his hands. He glanced at the magazine and then at Amanda.
Two roads were paved in front of him, one led him to his soul mate with whom he was bound by the Moon and the second road led him to the woman he had chosen for himself, the woman he fell for without the Moon's compel.
Giving the magazine one last longing look the Prince of Lycans chose the latter path.
He shut the growls of his beast who was pushing against the cage of his mind to get out~
To reach out to his soul mate.
The beast residing in his soul knew that his human was too stupid to see what he was doing.
The beast knew that his stupid human was challenging the desires of the Moon, he was fighting against fate. The Beast was afraid that he will have to pay a great price for his human's stupidity.
The Beast knew that. . .
The Moon blessed~
The Moon punished too~
And there was no mercy shown to a soul when it scorched in the blazing light of the Moon.
