Chapter 3 Betrayal

1167 Words
Dana POV I had the impression that the last chapter of my life had been written. I don't understand why Ares would betray me in such a manner. It was a promise that he had given to me. What are the steps that he can take to change him? What was he thinking when he allowed the lady who was responsible for the killing of my parents to become his Luna? The fact that I am his mate means that we are destined to be together. A portion of the failure that occurred in this pack can be attributed to her very own pack. While I do not wish to exaggerate the gravity of the issue, I am unable to permit this to take place. Blaire was the one who utterly ruined me. For everything, she is the engine that makes everything go. After making a hasty attempt to remove that from my memory, I hurriedly positioned myself in front of the entire throng. Astonishment engulfed me, and I felt my breath seizing in my chest. Suddenly, I became the focal point of their full attention. "Ares!?" I made a yell. I can't help but feel uneasy as my mouth trembles and a sensation of betrayal floods over me. I can't help but feel like I'm being betrayed. "What is she up to?" When Blaire looked at me, her voice was barely audible as she muttered, and a sly laugh escaped her lips as she made eye contact with me. It felt as though she was quietly evaluating my sartorial choices, even though her sense of style was unquestionably greater. If I could talk with Ares, I would be very grateful! Just permit me to do that! I increased my voice, and the air was filled with talk that was whispered. "We need to talk about things," I murmured to him as I gazed at him with eyes that were filled with concern. As I whispered, "It's about us..." Honestly, I am really embarrassed by myself. He looks at me with a look that conveys a sense of confusion on his face. "What are you referring to?" In his question, he acted as if he had absolutely no prior experience with me. When he looked at me, it was enough to make my skin crawl. The sly grin that is playing on Blaire's lips as she fixes her attention on me is accompanied by a firm clasp on her hand by him. On the sides of my cheeks, I chewed on something. "Ares, I was under the impression that you loved me. How can you do this to me? Is it possible for you to pick any woman you desire- with all of the ladies available to you... Are you seriously going to choose to be with a woman who has damaged my existence?" "Hey, it's time for you to go!" When the guard was attempting to take my hand, I protested by pushing them away with sufficient force. I took a look at the people in my immediate vicinity and conveyed my dissatisfaction in a hushed voice before turning my attention back to Ares. "You can't let this happen! The person who caused me the most suffering was her, Ares! Since the beginning of time, you and I have been always mates. This is something that I cannot accept. How can you let this happen?" I made a pause, "I know that you were obligated to do this for the sake of an alliance; but, you should rethink your judgment regarding this matter-" "It is important to watch what you say, Omega. To this day, I am unable to even identify you. Do you sincerely believe that puppy love can develop into something more genuine? It's funny, you should look past it." A shiver runs down my spine whenever I look into his piercing green eyes. "It is imperative that you always treat Luna with the highest respect. Since you are going against the grain." He characterized his words as being incisive and penetrating. The searing sting of agony causes Blaire to let out a loud sigh as she experiences it. "Martyr bitch." "Repulsive Omega." When the security guard made another attempt to make physical contact with me, Blaire stepped in and calmly said, "That's enough, everyone. I want to reassure you that I am doing fine. On the other hand, I am certain that I can defend myself." Even though she was acting in a manner that was not genuine, Blaire suddenly decided to commence a passionate kiss with Ares. "I am unable to deal with this... Can you tell me that this is just a test?" "You need to stop being so naive. To be honest, I have no idea what it is that you are trying to say. I couldn't care less about you in the world!" he interrupted me, I made an effort to remain motionless and think of something to say; nevertheless, I was halted by a warrior. "That's it!" The hit was so powerful that I felt my strength dwindling; despite this, I managed to muster the will to climb to my feet, only to have the beta administer an injection into the back of my neck. I was knocked down with such force that I felt my strength waning. As I make my way through the thronging crowd, I am surrounded by a sea of words and phrases. It is as if I am not visible, as if I am blending in perfectly with the existing background. "Have you seen Ares? A chat with him is something that I need to have." I called out to a stranger, she looked at the girl who was standing next to her with a sly grin on her face, making me confused. "You have no idea, do you? He left, and there is a persistent worry that he might not come back, which is unfortunate because it is anticipated that he will become the most powerful person in the entire world-" "What are you talking about?" I asked. A nod of dissent was given by the woman. "He hasn't been seen since last night." While I was desperately searching for his presence, her comments came to a halt as I emerged from the pack house. Rumors were going about, and it appeared that they were accurate: Ares had left, and with that, I would no longer have the chance to talk to him. Oh, Ares... My very own Ares. "Ares!" I was startled awake and let out a piercing scream as I came to. It was only after I woke up that I understood that the experience was nothing more than a dream, although it was so lifelike. Now that I'm lying down on my bed, I'm not feeling too comfortable. My eyes got wide open when I saw Blaire- leaning against my bed and mumbling, "Oh no," as I became aware of her presence. "Good morning, Dana, my new favorite pawn."
