“Stop!” Moira screams just as Zion throws the Lycan six feet away from him. But that doesn’t stop the Lycan from rushing Zion and clawing his side.
My heart is in my throat, and the courtyard is now full of people. Thane demands the Lycan stand down, but it’s as if the Lycan either can’t hear him or refuses to comply.
“Thane, stop them!”
“I’m trying!” Thane yells back at his mother.
My heart is banging, and I can’t take my eyes off Zion. His eyes are red, and I wonder if that’s because he’s angry. His eyes weren’t red yesterday! Blood drips from Zion’s chest where the Lycan clawed him, and the Lycan has blood dripping from his side. The gigantic Bear roars in anger, and I feel sick. If that Bear joins in the fight, he’ll crush Zion!
