“Alpha Kai of the Wild Pack, Gamma Zane, and...”
“Luna Starr.” Zane finishes.
“Come through to my office.”
‘Kai, stay with me.’
‘Always.’ He replies through the mind link while taking my hand.
We follow the King into his office. I can’t see anything through the hood. All I see are my feet and the hardwood floor. Kai guides me into the room and into a chair in front of a desk. I know it’s a desk because I can see the bottom of it and the legs. Kai sits beside me, and Zane stands behind us. I can feel the heat of his body against my back.
“It’s a good job you turned up today, Wild Alpha.” The King sounds angry, and it makes me shudder. “I was just about to send out a search party. That wouldn’t have ended well for you.”
I can feel the tension falling from Kai.
