Titan hesitantly let me take the lead. I still had the protective shield over us, and together with our physical strength and powers, we should be able to handle the one, very ugly looking giant being, standing in front of us until help arrived. "If it isn't the Alpha, himself, of the Blue Moon Stone pack! Well, aren't you a pretty boy?" This guy's voice was as bad as his stench! "SPEAK YOUR BUSINESS! WHY ARE YOU HERE, ON OUR LANDS?" After I asked the question, he started laughing loudly and turned to the others and said, "Did you hear him? We are on their lands! Sorry to burst your bubble, pretty boy, but all of this is OUR lands, which yourll stole, and we are going to take it all back!" What was this guy on? He had the most annoying voice I ever heard, and he pointed a finger around in a circle when he spoke about taking it all back! This total wacko was getting on my nerves! "Seems whoever fed you with that bit of lies don't know the history of our lands. These lands have been Wolf territory for generations. Do yourself a favour and go look into the Lycan records. You will surprise yourself and actually learn a thing or two! A very important contract was signed decades ago confirming that you are not allowed on OUR LANDS!" And again, yet another round of laughter from the physcho! "I like you, pretty boy. You make me laugh. I like to laugh, don't you? Now, how about you tell me how soon you can get your other pests together and clear out of these lands and hand over the future Luna of your pack to me and I promise that I will not kill anyone. I'm being very reasonable, aren't I?Simple as that, and we all go on our merry way." Titan and I were livid after hearing that! My eyes colour changed to a flaming red. It was time to stop entertaining his stupid antics and show him why I am the Alpha of my pack! I will protect them with my life if it comes to that! "Since you are not interested in my reasonable offer, then we'll do it the hard way! You see, your daddy dearest murdered my mate! Yes! He torched down their cabin, and she burnt to death! So, I don't give a damn about whatever contract was signed! Your father ruined my life! So now I am going to ruin yours!" A large fist hit straight into my jawbone. I didn't even feel a sting. Now, it was my turn to laugh. "Is that the best you got for a Lycan, I expected much more as a first punch. You sure know how to disappoint! So tell me, did you go all loony after you lost your mate and your parents disowned you or something? Cos, you look like a filthy hobo, and you stink worse than rotting flesh!" Just as I thought, I struck a nerve! He swung again with more force, and I made sure he missed. He was getting more aggressive and tried again, but another miss. I kept moving backward as he continued to swing. I wanted to get him as close to the river as I could. The other Lycans just stood around, growling. "My parents were fools. They left yourll to flourish on our lands while we had to struggle daily on the forsaken dry lands! I had to do something, and with some help from a powerful friend, I killed them and took over as the Alpha of my pack! Your future Luna has something that my friend needs, and as p*****t for the help I received, I will hand deliver the Luna. Once my friend is done with her, she will become my b***h!" What could my mate possibly have that they are after? Well, too bad for them because there was no way that I was going to let them get anywhere near her! I realised we were close up to the river, just where I wanted to be. "You seem extremely heated up right now, so how about I help you cool off a bit?" I raised my right hand towards the river and conjured up a huge wave of water and guided it to fall over the giant. He started to howl loudly, and as he did so, one by one, the others disappeared. He, too, started fading away, but before he completely vanished, he promised to return and make me pay dearly. "Well, what do you know bud, the rumours are true. Water can be used as a weapon against Lycans. No wonder they stink so bad!"

Titan and I were discussing what had happened when Skylar, Lucas, and his pack arrived. That reminded me to let my Betas know it was safe for now and to turn back. After doing so, I turned my attention to them "Yourll get stuck in traffic? You are like a stone throw away, and yet you pitch only when the party is over!" I threw in a bit of light humour only to have it disappear when Lucas explained why they were delayed. Skylar's entire property was covered in what looked like a dark, black cloud of smoke. It made it almost impossible for them to get through. It took a very powerful spell to get rid of it. Skylar was not prepared for the attack and had to seek assistance from the younger sorceresses in training. Only with their combined powers were they able to clear it up. I then gave them a run down of what had happened with the Lycan. "I just don't understand. What do they want with Akira?" I asked Skylar. "Roman, like you, she also has many gifts, she has inherited some very powerful ones from her father's bloodline, and I am sure that Warlock, who was after him back then, found out that his heiress is alive. We have to protect her at all costs. If he gets his hands on her gifts, he will become even more powerful, and we will all be doomed!" Titan and I agreed we were going to have to increase the hours of training of the warrior wolves, and with Skylar's teams help, start putting up protective barriers throughout the forest and our lands. "Roman, I'm glad that you were nearby, but I'm curious as to what you were doing in this part of the woods?" So much for hoping Skylar would not ask that question. "Ohhhh, well, Michael and I were out racing, and I guess we got a bit off track and lost each other along the way." Skylar just gave back a sneaky smile and pretended to accept the answer I gave as the truth, but I knew she didn't believe me. "Well, as you know, I was planning to bring Akira over to the pack house once her training was completed and introduce her to you and the Pack. Considering all that has happened, I think that perhaps it's best I introduce you to her. You are in the area, so why postpone it. However, she will only leave for the pack house when she is ready and willing to. Yourll already know of each other, so for now, it'll just be the introductions. It's been really overwhelming for her, and we have to be patient with her. "Roman, can you please freshen up before we go. We have to make a great first impression. Don't screw this up! I will never forgive you if you do!" How's that for loyalty! I asked Skylar to prepare Akira for my visit and that I would return the next day to meet with her. By then, we'd both be calmer and relaxed. I didn't tell her the truth that my so-called best friend threatened me!
