I spent the weekend planning a first date with Maranda. If all went to plan, it would be perfect. But first, I had to actually get her to say she would go. I know I suggested it when we last spoke, and she hadn't said going out with me was something she didn't want to do. But I also know her going out with me would involve extra steps for her. It wouldn't be a simple making sure she was free that night. She would also need a babysitter for her kids. So even though I made all my plans to work out for the following weekend, I also made sure they were easy enough to change if needed. First, I needed to get her to agree to next Saturday. Once I got that, I could work on the rest of my plans.
