Maranda Ushering the kids out the door and into the car, I was relieved when they both got in. Neither one putting up much of a fight and getting their seatbelts on. We were running late this morning, and I would be lucky if we got to school on time. I was so focused on getting us on the road that I nearly missed the flower and the note on my windshield. The flower caught my eye as I got into the car, making me stop for just a moment. Picking it up, I couldn’t help but smile. This morning had been a rough one. Both kids had fought me on just about everything, from neither one wanting to get up to what they would wear for the day to what they would eat this morning.
