There was a long silence before Amelia heard, "Yes, I am here!" Her mother's wolf spoke in her mind.
Amelia's eyes brimmed with tears again, hearing the wolf's voice. It was as though she was hearing her mother's voice.
"Why haven't you said anything all these years? Or helped me when I was going through all that I have been through?"
"I am sorry, Amelia. But there was nothing more I could have done other than carrying out your mother's will." Alyx replied sadly. "Edna had fed your mother too much poison, weakening me as a result."
Amelia was silent because what the wolf said was true. She had seen and heard it in her dream.
"I am Alyx. Good to finally meet you, Amelia. I have lived with you all these years but could not communicate or do anything else until recently."
