"Scarlett!" Annie cried out in alarm.
Fortunately, Scarlett reacted quickly, grabbing the handrail. She banged her head on the side railing but didn't fall.
Annie stopped, jerking her arm out of Iversen's grip. Her voice was cold. "Scarlett is going to marry into the Bilbo family. Once she's married, will she be closer to the Bilbo family or you to the Bilbo family?"
Iversen looked at Annie, stunned, and then laughed bitterly. "Without the Hamp family, do you think the Bilbo family would want her? You think Scarlett will live happily ever after? You think you can act tough because of it? Wake up."
