"That will be $86.50", the cashier said as I swiped my card paying for all the Supplies. I got folders, pens, pencils, labels and even a little elephant paper weight just to add a bit of colour to that gloomy room. I walked out but stopped to get coffee for Adam and me before heading home. I grabbed all the bags and coffee and slowly made my way inside and to the office. Adam wasn't there so I just put the things down and walked to his room with the coffee, he sat on the bed and he was on the phone so I placed the coffee down and hurried away. I walked back to the office to start cleaning and organizing all the documents that lay either on the desk or the floor. I began by picking up all the papers sorting them into piles; some of the papers were bills and things like that. Most of them were pack documents of all the members and letters from other packs. I cleaned up the floor and everywhere else and vacuumed the floor before finishing by wiping down everything. Once everything was tidy I began sorting through papers, putting them into folders. I got through a quarter of the work and was about to pull my hair out. There were requests for the pack to help trainings and request for pack transfers from a month ago. s**t! I quickly grabbed my laptop and began go through papers replying to requests. It took me nearly two hours going through all of them and calling other Alphas in regards to the letters. There’s an alpha meeting being held in two weeks and the thought of leaving mason again had my killer instincts kicking in, so he comes. "Hey", Adam said as he walked through the doors with a tray of food in his hands. "You've been in here working hard, so I brought you food and assistance", he said and I smiled nicely thanking him and sat down to devour the tray of food. “I'm sorry I haven't been much help but I appreciate you helping", he said and I nodded slipping the coffee. "Okay so I've emailed back packs accepting new comers", I said and he frowned slightly. "New pack members?", he questioned turning to me. "With the amount of members we have lost, it will be good to start to build the packs back up", I said and rubbed my face. "Ok so yours or my pack?", he said and it hurt a bit to know that the packs aren't joined, which they would’ve been by now if it wasn’t for Alice. "We’ll split and also there's alpha an meeting in two weeks that we're attending, with Mason", I said and he nodded. "The rest is little things like letters and documents", I said as I rubbed my temples feeling exhausted. "Just please keep this room tidy and all paper work sorted", I said looking at him and he nodded. "I'm going for a walk, I want to see how everything going”, I said and he nodded then I got up and left the room not before I heard him mumble to himself. 'Pull your s**t together. For Mason, for her'. I sighed and walked the halls greeting members and checking on things. I walked into the kitchen to see a couple of teens pigging out and laughed walking out to the gardens. The garden was still beautiful, various colours, roses, tulips, lavenders and my favourite, the purple violets and white blossoms. I heard shouting in the background and walked towards the noise to see three young boys holding a doll over a girls head, who was trying to get it and had tears running down her face but looked determined to get the doll. I walked up to them and the boys didn't notice I was there but the girl did and she stood still and sobbed. I smiled at he. "Come on! Don't you want it", they said and I cleared my throat, they turned around immediately with wide eyes. "I think she wants the doll back boys", I said and I held my hand out and they gave me the doll. "Now why would you be mean to this beautiful girl here?", I said and they didn't say anything. "You wouldn't like it if someone took your toys from you and wouldn't give it back, so don't do it to others okay, next time I will have to talk to your parents okay?", I said. " Yes Luna", they said and I smiled. I'm still Luna, I’m still his mate... "Now run along", I said and the boys sprinted toward the house. I knelt down to the girls level; I couldn't see her face because of the long beautiful strawberry blonde curtain of hair hiding her from me. "A girl such as yourself shouldn't hide her beauty and she shouldn't cry, because that gives everyone the impression that she is broken and not happy you should always be happy", I said as I reached out and pushed her hair behind her ears. She made my heart melt and I just wanted to cuddle her. She had beautiful forest green eyes the twinkled in the sunlight, cute button nose and rosy cheeks. "What’s your name?", I said smiling. "Joanna James", she said and I smiled at her cute little voice. "You have a beautiful name, mines Sarah Collins", I said and she nodded looking at the doll in my hand. "This is yours she's beautiful looks just like you", I said rubbing the dolls soft hair before passing it to her. "Does she have a name?", I asked and she nodded. "Amelia James", she said and that name sounded familiar. "That’s a lovely name", I said and she nodded. "I named her after my mummy, she gave her to me the night before the attack", she said and It hit me like a ton of bricks. "Amelia Ella James is your mother?", I asked and smiled. "She was", she said and tears rolled down her cheeks. "Sweetheart I'm sorry if I upset you", I said as I touched her arm and she shocked me by Lunging to my chest. Amelia was one of my pack warriors she was an amazing fighter, one of my best I never knew she had a daughter. Then the attack happened and… oh my god she died. I remember seeing her, James had carried her body and lay her down beside the other members that we had lost. "Joanna where are you? Joanna?", I heard a familiar voice call. I turned and saw a man walking this way, Joanna ran up to him as he got closer and jumped into his arms. "Princess it's time for lunch", he said and he sounded familiar. Where have I heard that voice? "Can Sarah come?", she said and pointed to me and he lifted his head to look at me and looked confused. Is that? "Carter?", I said and his eyes widened. "Sarah?", he said. How could I not remember him, he was one of my best friends from high school.
