The Lycan's Bride

Chapter 7

Adra POV

As Adra and her father walk toward the pack house, which can be seen from their home three Black SUVs pull up outside the pack house. Ten very large men start to get out, my father pats my hand and looks down at me "Adra I'm going to see if I can figure out what they are about" he kisses my forehead and heads to the driveway to greet the warriors. Being curious I follow behind at a slower pace.

As my father approaches the vehicles he calls out "Hail friends can I help you in some way?" The largest man who I would guess is the head warrior waves back never removing the seriousness of his look "Good afternoon we are Alpha Damiens warriors he arrived before us." As I look at him he is the same height as my father but somehow larger, with brown hair that is shaved on the sides in a ponytail at the back of his head. My father extends his hand to introduce himself

"My name is Ben" seeing I have followed him he smirks and introduces me "and this is my daughter Adra" Taking my father's hand and shaking it, he turns to look at me and I swear I saw a slight smile in his eyes as he looked at me. But as fast as it was there he brought that stoic look back. He turns and bows slightly to me "Ben, Adra nice to meet you both. Pardon me I don't mean to be rude but I must find my Alpha" as he turns towards the house my father says "He is probably with our Alpha here let me show you the way, Adra dear why don't you come along so you can find your mother" I nod my head and follow them thru the door ... as I close the door I hear a low growl coming from my father. Before I can even comprehend what is going on my father stalks into the kitchen as my mother is removing her hand from a very handsome man's hand, for some reason seeing her hold his hand in a way that looked a little too intimate makes the hair on the back of my neck bristle. "What in the world I don't even know this man how can I feel jealousy" I think to myself as I look around wide-eyed realizing I must have growled as even my father stopped to look at me.

Suddenly I hear "MATE!" as I look around I realize it came from the man that had been holding my mother's hand and everyone is looking at him and then at me. As I look around in confusion I realize my mother is smiling and my father has a look of complete amusement on his face. Before I know it this god of a man is standing before me as he reaches his hand to touch my cheek as he rubs my cheek softly with his thumb he says "Mate" so low only I can hear it. As I look at his face all I see is love in his eyes, his beautiful golden brown eyes, his soft kissable lips, and his dark skin, his jawline is so sharp I think it would cut me. He is the most beautiful man I have ever seen. Without even realizing it I reached up and touched his shoulder-length golden brown hair feeling how soft it is.

He smiles and says "Hello little mate my name is Alpha Damien" That snaps me out of the trance and I realize I was touching his hair as I remove my hand and turn bright red "Oh my goddess I'm so sorry ... Oh my goodness I shouldn't have been touching you ..." I ramble in embarrassment. "I know you may not feel the pull yet but you are my mate. I belong to you as you belong to me you can touch me whenever you would like with not one complaint from me" in a low lusty voice, he smiles down at me taking the sides of my face in his hands we move closer as if a magnet is pulling us together, our lips touching in a soft slow kiss he runs his tongue across my lower lip asking permissions for entrance. As I open my mouth to him, his tongue enters massaging my own and he pulls me tighter to him and his kiss becomes more hungry. I feel a burning in my lower belly as I reach my arms around his neck deepening the kiss. I just melt into him as he holds me impossibly close to him. It's then that I remember we aren't alone as I hear my father clear his throat.

Damien releases a low growl that I feel thru his chest as I once again have a blush that creeps up my neck to my ears." Umm well" was all I could say as Damien pulled away from me and I felt his warmth move away from me to address my father who is just standing there with his arm around my mother smiling as he takes us both in. I want to reach out to him again to bring his warmth back to me and to feel his VERY hard body against mine. "whoa I think to myself down girl" looking at the floor in embarrassment, as if sensing my discomfort he grabs me by my waist and pulls me to him putting his nose by the side of my neck taking in my scent in a deep calming breath.

Feeling very shy I peak out from his chest where my head is currently buried to look at my father who is now moving closer to us with a smile on his face "Alpha Damien its a pleasure to meet you my name is Ben I see you have "kind of" met my daughter Adra" he says laughing and yes he even did the air quotes which made me smile. As if snapped out of our little bubble Damien lifts his head and looks down at my father ... who until now had been one of the tallest men I've ever seen standing at 6'7" holy cow he must be over 7' tall realizing I have to step back a little to look up into his beautiful golden eyes. It's in that moment I realize "holy crap on a cracker" not meaning to say that out loud I am once again red as red can be. With a serious expression on his face, he scans my face and says "Are you ok? What's wrong little mate" as I move back from him I furrow my brows in an angry and confused tone I say "It was you wasn't it..it ..it was you I saw the other day....and then earlier at the lake was that you that growled?"

As he seems to understand what I am talking about his eyes soften "Yes love that was me, well the roar was Jax my Lycan but yes it was me. We didn't mean to frighten you" he says taking me back into his arms "Lycans can be ... well we are a very jealous very protective bunch. I tried to stop him but he wasn't having it seeing you there with another male was too much. I'm so sorry if we frightened you" I wrap my arms around his waist hugging him to me "the first time I saw you I was a bit frightened but earlier... earlier I felt... I don't know protected?" I say leaning back to look into his eyes as he smiles back at me.

My father pats him on the shoulder as he walks back towards my mother to stand with her. "I'm sorry sir how very rude of me, yes I am Alpha Damien and this is my Beta James" he nods at my father "I see you have met my head warrior Ian" Damien kisses me on the top of my head and grabs my hand moving us away from the front door and further into the kitchen towards my parents. I follow along as if I'm in a daze I mean I feel a pull towards him and he is obviously oh my god drop dead gorgeous but is he my mate? I mean I don't see why he would lie he is known country-wide as they are the last lycan pack and he has been searching for his mate since ... well for as long as I can remember. Suddenly my eyes go wide and I look at him. How old is he? He turns to look at me and whispers in my ear in a low sexy voice that makes a chill go down my spine "let us do introductions and then we can...talk little mate" I nod my head and turn to my mother and father who are both beaming at me with approval.

"No worries Alpha Dam" my father starts as Damien stops him with a wave of his hand and sets his hand on my father's shoulder giving it a friendly squeeze "None of that just call me Damien please are family after all" he says with a kind smile, my father smiles in return "alright then Damien welcome to the family we are huggers so watch out" my father says as he leans in to give Damien a manly hug slapping him on the back. Damien laughs and returns the hug in the same manner.

My mother steps over to me grabbing my face in her hands and kisses me on the forehead she looks into my eyes and says "Go on you two get out of here go get to know one another" With that, I smile at my mother removing my hand from Damiens grasp I give her a hug and kiss my father on the cheek, I look up into Damiens beautiful eyes, grab his hand and pull him towards the front door. With a smile, he follows me telling his beta to get the belongings to the rooms and have the warriors start a patrol.
