Amaia
I woke up. I didn’t know how long I slept, and I liked the feeling, I felt refreshed and energized. Smiling I turned to my side and saw someone staring at me, the smile immediately fades off my face to a glare. It was the Alpha. Staring at me.
He run his tongue over his lips and looked away from me, then he stood up. Why was he? Does he think he can come here anytime he likes, he shouldn’t play games with me? It was just for a while I will leave soon anyway but with my dagger pieced in his heart.
The bastard.
“Your friends are leaving, you might wanna see them before they leave.” I jumped off the bed. He was facing the wall, without staring at me, guess he was still mad at me.
“You shouldn’t come in here anytime you want to. You could as well knock, I deserve some privacy you know.”
That was when he spun around to face me.
He shrugged.
“I won’t bother you as from the moment. My room is just a door away if you need anything important. You can come but as for the others. Some people would attend to you. You’re staying here as the Alpha’s prisoner.”
“What prisoner?” I half yelled with my mouth wide open. What the hell was this jerk saying.
“I was just kidding. You’re my guest.”
“That was an expensive one.”
“But you can’t do anything without my permission.”
“Do I need to bath with your permission too?”
“Expect all that.”
“When will I be free to leave?”
“You ain’t leaving, you’re going nowhere, have you forgotten you gave your freedom for them. And now you’re mine.”
I couldn’t think of what to say to him. So I had my lips shut for a moment trying to figure it all out. I was never getting my freedom, I was stuck here in the salmon pack with the alpha who looked familiarly hot.
The more she stare at his face, the more she found it familiar but had no idea where or when she had seen that face.
“You can go over to meet them. Creamy would take you. You’ve five minutes.”
“What would five minutes do?” I yelled at him.
“It would be enough to say goodbye.”
“There’s more than just goodbyes to say. We’ve to talk, like a lot of it.”
“There won’t be any time for that. As soon as it’s five minutes exact. Creamy would bring you back here and Franco would take the boys out of the pack. Unscathed.”
I walked to him. Seem my glare won’t be going away anytime soon. I was standing in front of him. My hand went to the spot I had let my dagger scratched through and I pressed them intentionally.
The look on his face was priceless. He whined. Yanking his hands away.
“Just one minute and you’ll be brought back here!”
He walked out of the room and bang the door hard. He was angry, he wanted to hurt me but couldn’t be kept on restraining himself. I flinched at the sound of the door. That didn’t go quite well. That wasn’t what I planned on doing at first. I wanted to plead but I saw myself doing the opposite of it.
Geez!
What would I do now?
**
I walked beside Creamy with shoulders high, I wasn’t the type to have her head down or anything, I wasn’t good at being obedient or innocent it doesn’t quite suit me, Creamy which was his name, the name I found funny and weird. But liked. He didn’t say anything to me as she walked to meet my friends. I was nervous because I don’t know what to do or what to say. This was all my idea I got them into this mess and it’s driving me crazy that this was the only thing I could do.
I saw them, Louis and mark, they were with the other wolf.
Franco.
He held both of them when he saw us coming. He let go of the shirts and pushed them forward to meet me.
“A minute.” Creamy whispered to me. I pretended not to hear him because I ran to meet them.
My hands went over their body if they were badly hurting. But they said nothing, Louis was worse, his expression was blank and I couldn’t make use of his emotions. Mark, well did groan a little when I touched his arm. Shows he was in pain too.
That was all my fault.
“I’m sorry.”
I crocked.
“Leave,” Louis said as he grabbed my hand roughly, I was shocked by this gesture. His eyes were bloodshot, he was angry as hell. Why was he so angry. Did I say anything wrong to him?
“If you’re truly sorry, you’ll come with us.”
“I can...”
“Now.”
“You’re hurting me.”
His grip only tightens around my upper arm.
“Let go of her Louis.”
But he wasn’t getting it. Like he was ready to hurt me so bad. This wasn’t what I expected and I had never seen him this angry before.
“You’re not gonna leave, are you? You like him, is that it. If you don’t come with us. I’m gonna hate you. And I’ll take you as an enemy just as that bastard.”
“Did you just call me a bastard..” I tilted my head to see the alpha at our side, his hands were tucked into his pocket and his hair was pushed backward.
“Let go of her.” He warned when he was close to us. The look Louis gave him was so dark and cruel, that I felt the chills. I never knew Louis had this side in him.
His hands tighten again and I whined a bit.
“Louis. We can talk about this.”
“Choose.” He returned his gaze to me again.
“Between him and me or us rather”
“I’m being merciful you know that.” The Alpha said. I would rather he doesn’t say anything but I don’t want to tell him to shut up either. So I didn’t say anything.
“Right there, I ask that you guys go on the pretext of me staying. I’ll come back. I just have to look for a way to come back. They would’ve killed you guys.”
“So you’re saying. You did that to save us.”
Wasn’t that exactly what I did.
“I said I would take responsibility. What you do expect that they had you guys killed.”
“We didn’t ask you to do that.”
“Not like I had a choice.”
He let go of me.
The spot he held had gone red and it hurts.
But I didn’t say anything.
“That means you’re choosing him. What if you never come back.”
“Don’t you trust me? I’m Amaia. I’ll find a way.”
We talked. We didn’t whisper, we weren’t scared they would hear what we had to say. We just didn’t care because they couldn’t stop me.
“You shouldn’t be with a bastard like him.” He said that staring at the alpha’s face, I don’t know his name yet. So, I would just call him alpha. He had sounded so pissed off earlier and I thought I would never get to see his face till tomorrow I was surprised he came to meet us just the very minute.
Tsk.
He was an odd one.
He didn’t say anything to Louis. Instead, he walked to me and grabbed my wrist. Before he turned to Louis.
“You’ll never see her again. And even if you do. You’ll never get close to her. This is the last time you’ve.”
Louis chuckled.
“That’s so rich coming from someone like you” I did see the punch coming but then he restrained himself.
“Who will you kill next Zyair. Ain’t you supposed to be in moon pack. What you killed your father and came here.” Louis spewed. And I expect him to react to him but instead he looked surprised and wanted to know more. And there was this sly smirk at the corner of his lips. He wanted to hear what he had to say. How did Louis know him? Well, he was Louis. He knows a lot. He was the old young man she knew and her very first friend. So this man was from the moonlight pack, was that why he looked somehow familiar.
“You don’t remember me. I’ll make you one day. I’ll make you regret it..”
Before the alpha could say another word, he turned his back and began walking away. Mark waved at me and run to catch up with him.
The alpha.
I was tired of calling him that. Louis called him Zyair. I wonder if that was his name, he kept staring at Louis, even when he was gone.
“I pity him. Just as I pity you.”
“You should speak for yourself.”
“Don’t talk to the alpha-like that!” Franco yelled from where he was, I didn’t know he was listening. The other wolf had taken my friends out. After Franco had escorted them a bit.
“Show some respect.”
“Respect? What's that?”
“You don’t know what respect is.”
“I wasn’t thinking and you see here..” I touched my head. And continued. “.. ain’t working.”
A low growl escaped his throat and I moved back a bit. Not because I was scared of him but because they might find out I didn’t have my wolf yet. He would be dead if I do.
“What kind of a girl are you?”
“You don’t even want to know Franco because I don’t either.” The Alpha has answered. He was staring at me this time and that got me wondering what the heck was his problem. Why was he staring at me?
“But she seems interesting..”
