Still, I couldn't help but need my father's affection.
Like a starved little girl, I stared at him, hoping to get a reaction out of him. But he was already talking with someone else. It was as if he could not be bothered about my existence. I was probably a stain in his life that he badly wanted to get rid of at all costs.
I looked over at Nana and there was a worried look in her eyes.
"Axl ....come over here," she called out to me. She reached out her hand and I could see the fear in her eyes. I think she was worried that I was going to leave.
I smiled and tried to walk over to her and that was when I felt someone holding onto my hand. I frowned and tried to wrench my hand away but the grip was still holding on to me tightly. Without looking, I knew it was King Kael
