Closer at hand were tables buckling with food—fried chicken, coleslaw, baked beans, pulled pork barbecue, mac and cheese…Vic’s stomach growled at the dishes spread out buffet-style. Matt and Roxie were already seated, eating from overflowing plates. When Matt saw Vic, he half-raised a hand in greeting.
