Vic frowned. He couldn’t pick up anything from Matt’s mind, but he knew his lover well enough to know things weren’t fine. “What’d your parents say?” Matt kissed him again, on the lips this time, lingering to let the moment simmer between them. “Let’s just get out of here, okay?” he asked. Vic agreed. He retrieved Sadie’s leash from the coat closet and they headed out, each with a mask handy just in case they ran into anyone else. Since the lockdown, many parks around the city were closed, and some places had banned dog walking or jogging altogether. But even though they heard other dogs barking in their neighborhood, they had yet to run into anyone when they took Sadie out. Vic usually let her out in the morning before he went to work, and Matt frequently got in a quick walk around the
