/Xavier's POV/
I moved among people that seem to have crowded Seattle airport as fast as I could so I could catch up with Casey. Don't get me wrong, I'm not holding onto her, just wanted to ask about her wound and why she left so early. That's exactly what I wanted to believe though. I moved amongst the crowd so fast moving towards the baggage claim where I had sighted Casey and when I got to where she was, I was panting softly. All of a sudden her long nut brown hair seem shorter and her height of about 180cm looked 150cm to me but I didn't wanna accept the fact that the person in front of me, back turned to me with a nut brown hair pulled behind her in a carousel braid wasn't her. I adjusted my plain deep blue dress shirt I wore wanting to look good than disturbed. I slowly placed my hand on the girl's shoulder and turned her to face me with my heartbeat accelerating every second of the turn.
"Can I help you?" The lady I had touched asked, I realized then she wasn't Casey, Casey's face was oval but this lady's face was round and had freckles on her face.
"Sorry, I...I mistook you for someone else, I deeply apologize for that." with that, the lady beamed giving me a coy smile as she raked me with her eyes. I'm quite aware of my impression on ladies. I mean they basically drool for me but this was fast, didn't expect she'd be giving me that coy smile already. I gave a smirky smile in return.
"I really apologize for that. I gotta go now-
"Well it's nothing, I'm Mira-
"I'm afraid I have to leave now. It was nice meeting you by the way." I told her before turning my back on the stranger.
"Can I at least know your name?" Mira asked behind me but I didn't wait as I head towards the direction of the terminals. Getting on the plan wasn't hard. At least through the moving, I get to forget Casey for a second because she had literally been all that was on my mind. I sighed as I settled in my first class looking out the window as the plane made its journey back to Los Angeles.
"Champagne sir?" The flight attendant asked as she brought refreshments. It's like I've met her somewhere and how did she know I take champagne on flights, I didn't remember asking for it. I looked up to meet the brunette eyes and she had that killing look on her face. Oh, I remember...Mirabel, the petsy flight attendant when you wanna get clingy, hold on...What was she doing here? I subconsciously asked myself as she kept staring at me.
"No thanks." I grinned feeling it was safer I rejected her drink, I can't help but feel she might have poisoned it, who in the world would wanna take refreshment from someone giving one hell of a killer stare? Part of the reason I dumped her, I would have dumped her for another reason though but she was someone who couldn't separate fun and attachments. Those two definitely don't go together.
"Are you sure?" She faked me a smile but I was definitely not buying it.
"No thank you." I insisted and her smile faded moving away from me with a cold gaze. That was relieving. I thought as I softly rested in the seats to enjoy my journey, I might have been distracted for a minute but at that moment I was relaxed again. I couldn't stop picturing Casey again. Why the heck can't I get her off my mind? I wondered but she was definitely not leaving. I'm probably needing that champagne. I called on another flight attendant for champagne and before the middle of the journey I drained down the bottle. But I started having the urge to visit the restroom. On my third time of visiting the restroom, Mirabel approached me in my seat.
"Sir you look pale, do you need more Champagne?" okay that was her way of telling me she was behind my disturbed stomach. What type of flight attendant is she? Why does she keep mixing things? She mixed her personal feelings with work and only God knows what she mixed with my champagne.
"You do know I have few drops left in that champagne bottle and if I had it investigated and realize you are behind this, your career as an attendant is likely to be over." My words made her flinch as her eyes find it's way to the champagne flute with which was half filled with the champagne I was served and the bottle still had little in them.
"Mirabel you should learn how to separate things really, now you've allowed your personal feelings to taint your work. You could literally kill me if you were given the chance and I'm very certain there's a rule against flight attendants attaching themselves to passengers." I felt my stomach rumble in discomfort at that.
"I just want one thing for this terrible mistake you've made. A relief or I don't think I'm gonna let this slide." I said coldly as her eyes suddenly dance with nervousness.
"Get me a relief before I inform the other attendants of what you've done." I threatened and she nodded before leaving. I realized the moment she left that I'd gained the attention of two to three passengers and I smiled at them as they continue to stare at me. They all looked older to me. I ignored their petulant stares and stood to visit the restroom. I came back to meet a capsule on my seat attached table with a cup of water. Easy pizzy, I was reluctant to take it. Even more reluctant when I saw Mirabel at the corner probably leading to the galley. She groaned when I asked her to come over.
"Do you have another of these?" I asked and she looked around to be sure none was watching us this time because I draw quite attention the last time.
"Yes" she answered sharply.
"Good, could I have another one?" I asked and she groaned digging into her attendant's uniform's pocket to remove the blister of the capsule which was missing one, she took another one grab the glass of water in front of me, and used it. She removed another one and gave it to me taking the one on the table. I smiled at her and used the drug as well. Lucky for her none was watching and they could think she was merely attending to me as I later gave her the empty cup of water.
"Thanks for your service." I smiled at her but she rolled her eyes at me in return. Except for that little trouble, the rest of my journey was silent and Casey-filled. We landed after some hours, I put back on my shade as I walk out of the airport looking cool as always. I saw my father's personal assistant in the waiting area and smirked, for once my father is called considerate. I thought as the assistant who was in his early 50s moved to me to help with my traveling box. His hair had strands of white and black but white was scanty probably as a result of constant dying. He had a crooked nose and hollow chocolate eyes, he looked Chinese but he was English. He was my dad's friend and personal assistant, heard they attended the same college.
"Welcome back Xavier, how was your journey?" He asked as the younger home maid he brought with him quickly assisted him with the box while he walked freely beside me.
"Tiresome." I confessed as I moved to the shining red SUV they've come to pick me up with. I would have preferred a bigger one though.
"How is my dad?" I asked and he sighed.
"Just as you left him." He said expressionlessly. Like seriously would he ever be careful with his replies? I groaned as I made mine into the SUV which Carson helped in opening wide. Connor Carson was a man who would have fitted the army if he had applied in his earlier years. He rarely smiles. His face was ever serious and so was his talks, he had no sense of humor and I've only seen him laugh once...at his granddaughter, Lily. And trust me it wasn't something I wish to see again. His laugh was horrible. I wonder why the little girl wasn't scared because he laughed like a robot. His serious expression doesn't make her a fan of my sister Emily, she literally detests the man, most expecially because he always gives her expense reports to my dad. It was to put a limit to her extravagant spending. For an 18year old she sure spends a lot. We headed for my dad's mansion which was generally the place I arrive at when I go on business trips. Mom loves to have me home every time that happens. I have my own building, I needed it for personal space my dad hates me bringing home girls. Don't get me wrong, I didn't move just because of that. I felt tiredness take over me the moment I rested my head on the seat. I needed some rest so I close my eyes to have one. I dreamt of Casey, I recalled our one night together and I regretted being woken up by Carson on getting home.
"We have arrived home." He announced to me and I groaned, annoyed at being drawn out of the memory I was reliving. I made my way out of the car to step down into my dad's large garage. I made my way out of the garage and to the stairs that led up the mansion.
"Xav!" My sister squealed excitedly hurrying down the stairs as her eyes fell on mine. My sister was the only one who took after my dad, she shared his auburn hair and onyx eyes. While I share my jet-black hair with mom but I have no idea where I got my gunmetal eyes from because mom had golden brown eyes. Not that it mattered anyway. She ran into my arms after placing down the fluffy British breed dog she had in her arms. The dog's name was Fluffs and it was my sister's idea. She got the dog 2years ago when it was just a baby.
"I miss you so much." She confessed wrapping her tiny hands around me. My sister was short, too short for an 18year old. She was about 125cm tall, she probably got the shortness from dad. I was the tallest in the family with a height of 185cm, it was something I was proud of though. It made me distinct wherever I was. I ruffled her straightened hair with my hand as she continue to hug me. Emily doesn't like having her hair ruffled because she spent hours to straightened them. She had natural hair curls at the end but she always prefer the straightened one, I don't know why though. I always think the curls look good on her but woman, very hard to understand. Me ruffling her hair was my way to tell her to stop hugging me because I had a nail to pick with her. She released me and frowned, using her hands to straighten back her disheveled hair.
"You know I don't like it when you do that." She complained and I scoffed.
"We have something to discuss." I pointed to her before making my way to the kitchen where I guess my mom will be. And like I guessed, she was there..making dinner I assume.
"I'm home mom." I announced at the entrance of the huge kitchen where about four maids were in helping mom out.
"Just a minute." She requested and I nodded moving back to the sitting room where I'd passed. I have absolutely no idea my dad was right in the sitting room sitting with papers in his hands and a coffee by the stool which stood next to the cabriole sofa he sat on. Why hadn't I noticed him? I'm so in for it!
/Stacy's POV/
I moved fast into the crowd immediately I saw Xavier trying to catch up with my sister who stood oblivious of who was coming for her. We looked alike and definitely, he mistook her. Why was he coming for her, isn't he into one night thing? No attachment, why was he coming back for me? I wondered moving hastily to my sister.
"Have you-" my sister was asking when I grabbed her hand and lead her away from where she stood and towards the female restroom part of the airport.
"Hey, what's up with you?" She asked furrowing her brows at me.
"Sorry, just saving you from an awkward situation." I smiled at her and her brows furrowed tighter into a frown.
"An awkward situation you mean?" She asked now arching a brow at me.
"The Xav guy I told you about last night. I saw him here and he was heading right towards you. Probably thinks you were me." I explained and Tracy scoffed.
"Is he one of those that got clingy after-
"No, definitely not, I don't think he's the type. He looks like someone who would forget any girl he goes out with." I defended as I checked out to see Xavier talking to another girl with the same hair color as me.
"But why would he tried to reach you again then-
"Probably because I stole his Rolex watch and some dollars in his wallet-
"You did what?" of course, Tracy would be surprised. I might be an assassin but definitely not a thief.
"I didn't have any other way to head back to the hotel. It was necessary." I defended as my sister gave me her bewildered look.
"You know stealing is bad right? what if they checked the CCTV and realize you stole the money and they started to look for you, and for heaven's sake a watch? You can buy the whole company of that, what's-
"Can you stop scolding me? Chris already dealt with that part this morning, trust me, I left no prints behind me. We are safe." I assured and my sister heaves a sigh of relief.
"I'm quite shocked you're so worried about that when you forgot to clean the slick on my bed last night," I mumbled as we started to head back into the departing side of the airport.
"What was that?" She asked and I abruptly turned to her with a smile.
"Nothing." I lied and before she could press the issue further Chris arrived.
"I've been looking for you guys, it's time to leave," Chris announced and we immediately followed him to board the jet. I sighed in relief as I settled into the seat and allowed for the plane to take off. I was sleeping when I heard my sister talk to Chris and I couldn't help but fluster my eyes open.
"So where are you gonna be when we leave for Los Angeles?" Tracy started the conversation and I slowly raised my sleeping mask to verify She really did. I confirmed to myself as she smiled while she asked her question. With the look on Chris's face, I could tell he was quite shocked as well. I guess she finally accept the fact I stated for her.
"Don't you want me coming with you guys?" Chris asked and my brows instantly shot up.
"you're coming with us?" I asked sounding as surprised as I look.
"I was thinking so-
"Please come...though we can do without you, but it's not the same without you." I grinned and he snickered.
"A nice way to give compliments Stacy." He remarked and I winked.
"Does my opinion matter on this." Tracy asked and we both turned to her but I wish she had no other idea.
"You know it's a quite dangerous right?" since when did Tracy care of a mission is dangerous for Chris, he basically follows us to everywhere.
"If you don't want me to go with you, you could just say so-
"I never said I don't want you to go with us, I mean you've always been very useful to us. I would love for you to come with us every time but I'm just concerned-" shocker! I thought and Tracy froze as if realizing what she'd said. She should never have said that, at first I was shocked but now I'm worried. That statement now makes Chris someone we need to protect.
"You're right...I don't care." She forced a smile before turning to me to see the worried look on my face. Chris could protect himself but we would get involved, there's no way we couldn't. If the league finds out about this. It could put us in danger, not only I know that. Chris does too.
