Cora's POV
Everything happened so fast. One minute, we had a gun pointed at us and death was only a moment away. The next minute we were been saved by Santiago, and the next thing we knew we were fighting our way out of the building, which seemed so impossible. I even asked for a gun , but Bruno never gave me the chance to use it and, honestly, I didn't really want to.
It felt like we weren't going to get out of there, until a miracle happened, but it came at the cost of Santiago. He gave us the chance to escape, holding back the men as much as he could.
I wanted to ask Bruno why he was leaving his brother, but he didn't give me the chance to, he just pulled me out there, telling me to keep on running.
