Jaemin sighed as he looked at the case that was represented in front of him. He rubbed his temple and sighed out deeply. Jinwoo frowned looking at how tired Jaemin looked. He had dark eye circles underneath his eyes and his hair was fluffy. It was almost like had just woken up.
Everyone knows how organised Jaemin always was. His suit didn't have one little dirt or dust one. It was always perfectly ironed. His hair was alway styled and his face, there was no sign of tiredness. It was pure perfection, But today, he was the complete opposite of "perfection".
"Is everything okay?" Jinwoo finally asked after a while. Jaemin never liked to come over weak or vulnerable. That was the reason Jaemin was debating whether he should be asking him this question or not. Jaemin would probably take offence of it or he would start becoming paranoid.
Jaemin looked up from the piece of paper and looked at his little brother. He nodded his head as he again looked back down at the paper. He slept horrible without Florence. The worst thing was that he wasn't able to see her before he left for work. She had to stay extra hours because there was something that had happened with a patient. She reached later for over two hours.
He sighed out and closed his eyes. It made him feel restless to know that he will see her in just two hours. But these two hours genuinely felt like an entire century. "You seem tired." Jinwoo said as he took the paper away from his brother. Jaemin looked at him a bit annoyed and then just nodded.
"I didn't sleep well." He replied and reached out his hand so Jinwoo would hand him the paper again but he refused. He crossed his arms and looked over at his big brother. "It is because of Florence?" He asked and Jaemin didn't deny by nodding his head.
"I am not used to sleep without her." He said and he felt embarrassed to speak about his relationship so openly to his brother. It was a normal thing but Jaemin was always reserved. He never opened up a lot to anyone and to be fair, he hadn't opened up that much to Florence either but it didn't seem to bother her.
Jinwoo made an "aw" sound before almost received a big punch from Jaemin. "Ya. You shouldn't be doing this Hyung." He said quickly to defence himself. "I find it cute to see how you both are growing for each other. It is cute." He smiled innocently. Only if Jaemin could wipe that smile off his face.
"Give me the paper so we can get back to work." Jaemin replied but Jinwoo shook his head. "Florence is waiting for you downstairs. I will finish this." Jinwoo said without looking at his brother. Jaemin's eyes widened and he looked at the door and then quickly back at Jinwoo.
"Are you being for real?" He asked and Jinwoo just nodded his head. Without saying anything else, he picked up everything, his coat, his bag and walked away. He turned himself around and glanced over at his brother. "Thank you, Jinnie." He said with a smile.
Jinwoo smiled upon hearing the childhood nickname Jaemin had always used for him. He hadn't used the nickname for a while but it made him happy to know that he finally did. "Don't worry about it Hyung." He replied back and watched Jaemin leave.
Jaemin walked down the stairs and then towards the entrance of the building and Jinwoo was right. She was there... Her red hair down on her shoulders while she was wearing a beige dress that was open from her hips, falling all around her. Her dark brown boots finished off the entire look.
She looked amazing.
A big smile fell upon her face when she saw Jaemin. He walked quickly towards her and without really thinking, he hugged her tightly. "Ah.. I really missed you." He sighed out. Florence was shocked by his response. He had been more closer to her and this was one of those close moments with each other.
"I missed you too." She replied with a smile as she kept on hugging him. She liked being in his embrace. It was one of the best things she would always feel. She felt loved and needed by him. Even though, he hadn't actually used the word "love" to her. She somehow always felt it.
"Should we head back home? I can get freshened up and we can go for dinner?" He asked as he stared into her kind eyes. Florence smiled happily and nodded her head. A part of her was so excited to finally have that dinner date but at the same time she was so nervous.
After they had finally reached their house, it was awfully quiet than it normally would have been. Florence knew that Jaemin's mother would leave but the guards that tend to guard the front of the house were missing too. Jaemin didn't think it was something abnormal and still drove into the driveway. It was normal for the guards to sometimes take a break at the same time or there could have been a technical issue that they were dealing with. He would have a word with them regardless because it wasn't suppose to happen.
As normally, Jaemin and Florence got out of the car and made their way to the front of the house. He turned himself around to look at his wife and took the minute to appreciate how beautiful she looked. "You know, you look very pretty today." He said with a smile. Florence's cheeks turned slowly red and she started blushing. "Thank you." She replied with a smile.
When they both got inside the house, Jaemin frowned. Now he felt like something was off. The light in the house was never off. The maids always were cleaning or preparing for dinner but it was dead quiet. He couldn't hear anything or anyone. Normally when they always come home there was some dishes clanging, maids whispering while making food.
"Jaemin.." Florence whispered and pointed at the vase that was on the floor broken. He looked at for a brief second and then again looked in front of him, scanning through the house to see if there was something else that was broken but or in this case, he would even be looking for bodies.
It was hard to see anything. The house was dark and it didn't seem clear to him what could be waiting for him or actually Florence.
Jaemin took out his gun without thinking twice and walked ahead of himself to see if he could see something but Florence quickly held his arm. "Don't go. Khajima." She said quickly. A part of her was afraid that something was wrong and for Jaemin to take out his gun, she had a bad feeling that something was going to happen. He smiled at her and held her hand softly.
"Don't worry. I will be fine. I need you to get to our room." He said. He took out something from his pocket. "This is another gun. Just incase if there is someone here." Jaemin said. She nodded her head and looked at him in fear. "J-Jaemin.." She stuttered.
"I know. I love you." He said and connected their lips for a brief second. Florence's mind was frozen. She was in shock. She didn't expect him to kiss her and tell her that he loved her. "I will see you." He said and he left while Florence quickly made her way to the their room.
